Yes, that would be good. Than the adult industry never would addapt it.
Or more CHRIS 6.0's could accomplish the same ;)

so you see the logic of what he is saying, yet you insist on going along with the iffor scam?

Putting someone from the industry on the board will in no way make things better for this industry. On the contrary! Lawley (you know, the guy that lied to your face) wants us to put someone on that board!

I personally am on the fence on the whole .XXX issue. Having spent time on the inside I know things that would make peoples heads spin.....

I think change is scary for people - especiall people in this industry. But change happens whether you like it or not. I suggest people be more open minded and look at the state of the industry and how this might potentially help and not hurt their business' bottom line. Im just saying, my opinion really means nothing in the larger picture and I only have 15 years in this industry.....

Cheers!

It doesn't matter who's on the council, Lawley and his butt buddies have already mapped out what the policies are gonna be.

But wait, that's not the worst of it...

The real tea party types (the ones in congress) will then get their say on XXX policy once Lawley starts lobbying them to make XXX mandatory :(

I wish I owned a crystal ball like the rest of you.

Chris 06-07-2011 07:55 PM

The way they spun it - they claim that if someone is against .xxx or worried about the regulations behind it that a spot on IFFOR would be perfect so they have some sort of vote into as what goes on

You don't need a crystal ball or a weatherman to know which way the wind blows re: this issue.

Not so sure about that. If .XXX is passed, would be first time govt consolidating the internet.
More govt interference would follow turning the net to garbage like boring monopoly cable tv. Tea party's always spewing less govt regulation.

Exactly what I would have said... if "legit" people support IFFOR under the guise of "making sure to keep an eye on things" it lends it credibility, and increases its chances for financial success, therefore increasing the chances it could become a threat to the rest of us.

Gotta look at ACTIONS and NOT words. Supposed tea party politicians TALK a good game about LESS government, but when they get their guys in office, they tend to FIRST and FOREMOST go for social issues.

No... they won't allow a .XXX opponent to sit on the board. So no matter what spin you've heard, even if someone like me for instance WANTED to be on the board, which I wouldn't ever want to, they wouldn't allow me on the board. Unlike the FSC... in this case the industry does NOT vote on the board. The board is appointed by ICM, and they are NOT going to put someone on the board who would undermine the .XXX mission. Why would they?
