"A neighbor said truck drivers who traveled across the country often stayed in the house on the property with the owner's 16-year-old daughter and her 19-year-old fiance. Their names were not immediately released.

The neighbor said the 16-year-old moved out of the home on Sunday and that the neighbor never saw anything suspicious."

Daughter moves out on Sunday. Husband and wife truckers on the road since Sunday. Reports from anonymous tip. Only evidence is some human blood which could be found in any yard. Scenario, Family argument over daughter and boyfriend living in the house. Boyfriend and dad get into a fight which blood was drawn. Boyfriend gets the shit kicked out of him and they get thrown out. Daughter and boyfriend play a little revenge and call in a anonymous tip. And as usual police overreact over the boyfriends blood splatter all over. Along with media outlets who like to sensationalize anything to keep their ever decreasing viewership numbers up. It turns out to be nothing and then the media outlets flip the story around saying all of it was rumors spread on the internet and the internet should be regulated for this sort of thing.

rural texas is no more backwards than rural anywhere else.

Looks like the property owner's 19 y/o son may be the culprit. He is now in a military psychiatric ward.

Definitely dozen of bodies and some children.

---

c&p:

"LIBERTY COUNTY -- Liberty County sheriff's deputies are on the scene of a home in Hardin where a tipster told them 25 to 30 bodies are buried.

A law enforcement source confirmed that a mass grave with 'a lot of bodies' was found on the property near the intersection of County Roads 2048 and 2049.

Some of them are children, according to the source.

The tipster said dozens of dismembered bodies are buried in the grave, according to Cleveland Advocate Vanesa Brashier.

The source is a psychic, according to another source in Liberty County.

Sheriff's deputies said they found blood on the scene and were waiting for a warrant to search further.

Property owner Joe Bankston said he's shocked by the reports of bodies on his property.

"This is like something out of a novel," Bankston said by phone from Dallas.

Bankston said his daughter lives in the house.

He said there's blood on the porch and in the house because his daughter's former boyfriend tried to commit suicide a couple of weeks ago.

"He got drunk and cut his wrist," Bankston said. "It took me all day to clean the inside of the house. I'm not sure I got it [the blood] all."

The boyfriend, an Army soldier who was AWOL, is now in a military psychiatric ward in Killeen, according to Bankston. He said a police report was filed with the sheriff's department after the suicide attempt.

Bankston said he's owned the property for a little over three years. He admitted his son, Joe, is a convicted sex offender, but said he hasn't lived in Hardin for over a year.

"He lived with us for a little while, but had to go to Michigan about a year ago for a court appearance and never came back," Bankston said. "Last I heard, he was in Ohio."

About 15 sheriff's department vehicles and at least one cadaver dog were on the scene Tuesday evening.

The Beaumont FBI has also been asked to assist in the investigation.

Texas Equusearch founder Tim Miller said they have been contacted and are on standby to provide equipment and other resources as needed.

"If the story is as it's being told, hopefully this will bring some closure to many, many families who have wondered where their children, or their daughters or their loved ones have been," Miller said"

suuuuuuuuuuuuuuure - we've all seen the Ohio Chainsaw Massacre, the Minnesota Chainsaw Massacre, California Chainsaw Massacre

Vjo 06-07-2011 06:23 PM

Ok, so we have the boyfriend who cut his wrist, was AWOL and is now in a military ward in Killeen, Texas and the property owner's son who is a former sex offender and is now somewhere on the lam in Ohio.

So both are suspects altho the latter looks very bad.

Mutt 06-07-2011 06:26 PM

the details so far and the pics of that property make this look like one really cliched B horror movie. i'm already casting actors for the roles of this freakish family.

Very irresponsible on the part of local media and sheriff dept leaks if no bodies are found.

i've never seen worse erroneous reporting of a breaking news story than this - and that includes the local Houston TV stations and CNN.com. CNN had a story that federal officials had confirmed bodies were found.

hold on, Deputy Barney Fife of the Liberty Texas Sheriff's Department is scheduled to hold a press conference at 10pm. Rumors are the psychic first told her premonition to Floyd the Barber who then relayed the story to Deputy Fife.

So now that the media has figured out they have been had they begin a campaign of making the family look bad. These people truly make me sick. The family should sue each and everyone of these "news" agencies along with the dysfunctional police agencies.

I'll second that. Would be nice to see a big name lawyer with a little time on his hands step up and represent them.
