Growing up and in Vancouver and being a die hard Bruins fan found all this rather amusing last night. The Bridge and Skytrain crowd (Surrey) where the biggest part of the problem.
Went to the 5 after to celebrate watched a guy in a fight get stabbed a couple of times. Just another night out in a wanabee big city. |
lol @ the canucks fuckin shit up like it's an oakland race riot because they lost a hockey game
|
VANCOUVER, British Columbia – Almost 150 people required hospital treatment overnight as rioters swept through downtown Vancouver following a Canucks loss to the Boston Bruins in the decisive Game 7 of the Stanley Cup final.
|
LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
i bet like 140 of the hospital treatments were from riot police fucking beating the shit out of someone or shooting them with 12 gauge bean bag shots |
Just goes to prove that hockey fans are cavemen, even in Canada.
This is what happens when citizens aren't afraid of the police. Haha |
dont fuck with there pastime shit. they take it a bit far
|
takes them to the prison

Most of the hospital treatments were for pepper spray and/or teargas. 3 Stabbings, one victim in critical condition. |

Its because they all want to be Super Famous..... I blame it on The X Factor
|
This riot is nowhere near as bad as they make it out to be...I was at game 7 and then out drinking downtown all night and didn't see anything happening really. Montreal had bigger riots back in '93 when they actually won the Cup.
I attribute that to the fact most men in Vancouver seem high on estrogen; lots of metrosexuals and/or effeminate people here :2 cents: |

Atleast Vancouver got it the right way round, failed to win, but succeeded in smashing things up in anger at losing. |

Correct. |
cannabis increases estrogen production in men.

It's weird, you can be walking around downtown in say Gastown, which is a really cool, posh sort of area. If you walk two blocks in the wrong direction, it completely transforms into this heroin haven. A bunch of homeless, schizophrenic addicts running around, tripping out, yelling up at sky giving god a lecture, etc. Feel sorry for the tourists who are just going for a nice stroll, and accidentally stumble into it. |

Vancouver is full of fucking losers. Yesterday proved it. Anyway from there, you're a big loser too.
|
Fucking assholes
|
I wonder where the people were who went to Boston and were scared about walking around the city. At least Boston wasn't rioting.

Vancouver fans were swarmed and threatened according to the news reports here.Even the players couldn't get a meal sometimes and fans turned away from pubs down there..Yea Boston is full of class |

Two sides to every story, and I bet the same goes for the fans swarmed. Of course there are thugs everywhere who start shit because they're retarded, but for the most part it's hardly the horror story described. Getting heckled wearing the opposing jersey in a passionate city during the Stanley Cup Finals is going to happen whether in Boston, Vancouver, or any other city outside of say Tampa Bay since their fan base is sleeping by 8:00pm. It's hardly newsworthy, but some bored writers ran with it to work up the fan base even more than they already were. Vancouver fans jumped in to act like their shit doesn't stink and they'd never stoop that low yet riot days later when they lose. I'm sure 99% of real Vancouver fans are not like the idiots who caused the riot, but neither are 99% of Bruins fans. It's the loud 1% that cause people to go to message boards using blanket statements like "Boston is full of class" |

Time to generalize!! "Damn, two people fought, that Vancouver is full of class" |
Good on the Samaritans .not many people have the balls to stand up like that
