I dont know what she wanted them to be but it amazes me how many people tattoo their bodies without knowing/making sure the meaning of the Chinese words.

p.s. Nice find!!! Beautiful smile, happy face and great ass! :thumbsup

This pic shows a little more of her tat

Word by word, it reads, "you, time (as a noun), lemon, put, lemonade." :error *cant read the few words covered by her hair*

After sinclair posted what the line means, "if life gives you lemons, make lemonade," then I understand what she tries to mean. But I still shook my head. The syntax is so wrong. It would be like this line is straight out from an online translator but doesnt make sense for the native speakers. Sometimes we have similar quotes in Chinese and it would be better to use those, if you really want to tattoo a quote on your body. Just make sure you ask your Chinese friends for the meaning beforehand.

It would probably bother her a lot if you tell her the truth so maybe it's better not to tell her. I dont know! Just dont hurt a cutie's feeling! :) AND she did it with Traditional Chinese characters (versus Simplified Chinese) too, which means a LOT more strokes and complicated in one word!!! (檸 vs 柠). She probably didnt tattoo it for Chinese people anyway. :D

There are some common, universal ones tho(e.g. "Practice makes perfect")! But yeah she probably doesnt care. Just a note to those who want a Chinese tatt: think again. :)

It's like, turn it around, I'm this girl in China fascinated by the western culture, and really love English. I want the quote "if life gives you lemon, make lemonade" in English on my back. Now I have a tatt that says, "you time lemon put lemonade". I probably look smart around other Chinese people who dont understand English. But those who understand might be laughing at me, and do I care??? It might not be a big deal to some. Just have to do more research before such decision thats all. :thumbsup

p.s. In Chinese, when I say, "Amy let you eat lemon," it means Amy just rejected you. Weird right? Anyone wanna tattoo that on their back? lol
