To be young, dumb and full of cum again — I'll pass wasn't that good really ...

Personally, I don't feel anyone should categorize a whole generation because of a few people. This goes for both sides lol.

No offense but if you are making decent money and have a family you love then why do you care what people think about your generation? You are winning the game. It is a waste of energy to be upset over things like this. You seem to be fine now, if the economy goes to shit and that affects your business you will just have to work around it. If you are as strong as you say you are, I am sure you will find a way to overcome it. Based on what I have read so far, you may have become more annoyed from reading the responses to your post. Doesn't that just make your day that much worse?

I am 29, I'm not rich but I am not on the street. I have a house and can pay the mortgage every month, pets, fam, food, etc. If people think my generation sucks, that's fine. I am ok for now, and that's all I really care about. I work with those who want to work with me and things always seem to work out in the end.

Best of luck to ya man, just try to see the positive, like you mentioned yourself, you work your ass off but have a good life so enjoy it =D. I thank god every day I wasn't born as some of the poor African or Asian children forced to burn computer waste in landfills to make some change by selling the copper.

Happy Monday Folks :thumbsup

Great post. I think you may have nailed it.

you are the most coddled, over parented, weakest, dumbest generation in history. you make the Baby Boomers look like Vikings.

So quoted for truth it isn't even funny !!!

Only on the internet do you have people expounding on how they know so much and got it all figured out when really they know so little.

On GFY even more so!

Appreciate your input.

But I'm a lil bit older and I only saw Internet working when I was 25. So even in my era there were real jobs where people produced stuff making economy real. Nowdays, internet junkies only resell shit, like wall street brokers actually, they produce NIENDE.

Half of the people here insulting the 20 somethings, voted for and/or supported the Reagan and Bush administrations. The single largest enablers of theft and oppression in modern western history by far. It is hard to imagine America ever being able to fix the damage those people did. Especially since we'll always have to deal with the 40% of the people who have the reactionary birth defect. They used to be called evangelical christians, now I think they like to be called teabaggers. Ten years from now it will be something else but it will be the same broke morons fighting a class war for the rich, riled up using fear, ignorance, racism and bigotry.

Well spoken...

Great description of a typical "idiot" young person. I think I have come across a few people that fit your persona of a typical 20 something. Shit, I even fit that description: I like my xbox, I use facebook, I play beer pong, and I lived with the Parents for a year after college to get on my feet. Seems I fit your description pretty well. :Oh crap.

You have to realize our generation is no different than any other generation before. There are winners and there are losers. There always has been, and always will be. That's just humanity for you. We can't all be rock stars. To say there are no capable individuals in our generation or your generation is just ignorant. :2 cents:

There is however a problem that scares both the sheep and the wolf. My generation has more free thinkers then any before our time
to we are the indigo children and we will not conform to what has brought this nation to nothing but weakness.

Despite your medications, your tv shows, your jaiks, your separation of race and class, and continued cuts to racers you cannot ans will not shut us up.

It has been our elders who have put us here. It was because of there inability to speak out or question what is going. It is you who tells us we are lazy and no nothing yet it was your lack of education to understand who you were electing to government and who you continue to follow the same policies that put us here.

Probably the most mindless, delusional rant I've ever read and I'm in your generation. It's funny how our generation claims to be free thinkers. The hippies of the 60s said the same thing and that turned out well. No, we are no more free thinkers than the previous generation, perhaps even less. We spend our time on social networks and watching reality tv, our parents and grandparents bettered themselves through books and trades. We are at our technological peak but the previous generations did more with less. Also, you exist because of the previous generations and their fight for a better life, so get off your high horse you pretentous tool. You're no different than the insecure philosophy majors plaguing our college, who need to convince themselves that they're different and that everyone else is sheep.

I respect the generation of my parents and grandparents more than I will respect my generation or the next one. They made significant impact and achievements, we just bitch. We are the generation of political correctedness and entitlement, it's embarrassing.

I respect my father for the fact that he gave me what he could, and worked his ass off for it. However, the continued mistakes when it came to political direction this country has gone to, is what I am referring to. I never once said I don't love and respect my parents or my grandparents, in the regards of family. Just because I have been extremely interested in politics since I was 12 years old and from that age have seen the same stupid kind of people being elected into office is the issue that I am referring to.

Since I have been on my own, I have worked anywhere from 8 hour days to 16-20 hour days. Up until the last year I have been on call 24/7/365, and I have worked with many people here and met many people here personally. Anyone who knows me, knows I have always tried to help them, I may not always make the right chose but I sure as hell will always try.

Also this is an interesting piece.

You're not suppose to be a free thinker, you're suppose to think how they want you to think.

You have no legs to stand on, precisely because our generation hasn't come of the age old enough to involve itself in politics. However, observing the birth, adolescence, and young adult years of our generation, I can't think of another group dumber than us other than the teenagers of today, which is the next generation. Our parents and grandparents were smarter than us at a comparative age, and so we will destroy our society even more when we rise to power. I seriously shudder at the thought.
