That is complete bullshit. Shake is the ends of the 'sugar leaves' that have dried up and broken off the bud and have anywhere from half to 3/4 thc content as the bud itself. Trichomes, or crystals as you call it do not normally fall off the buds without some type of extraction method, usually ice or butane.

Big fan of the strain... a couple of the local dispensaries down south here we're floating some fakes, but got a nice reliable spot with knowledgeable tenders now that's done some great things with True as well as a few True based hybrids. They are tending a few rootings for me as we speak.
