I haven't started yet... I have earn some money doing some presentation websites and some graphics, but nothing major. I thought I could do something on freelancing sites, but then again... I'm not going to do an entire website or anything that requires time and hard work for 50$, so because of this, no one hired me there.
If I start earning at least 300$ a month from doing this, I'll quit my job! It's not that having a job it's bad, but having a job that sucks with a small income, well... that sucks.

I started working as a freelance writer part-time while still working as an Affiliate Manager with Panchodog. I have been 100% freelance since 2008 and counting and it's a full time gig for me. I make enough to pay my bills and make a pretty decent living where I'm located and I've enjoyed the freedom previous jobs did not provide me, basically allowing me the time (and funds) needed to get my Masters degree in Clinical Psychology, so I can't complain.

:)

Hey, if you're doing it, more power to you. Much domestic IT consulting has fallen victim to the wave of Indian outsourcing.

"Technology-related jobs have grown rapidly in the past 25 years. But the past two years have been tough on everyone, including technology workers. Not many new tech jobs are likely to emerge in 2010, but analysts expect to see a rebound by the middle of the decade"

I can tell you that Indian outsourcing was great for my business as customers here in the US have been burned a few times from overseas firms, plus cultural gaps, language gaps and time gaps and most importantly also what my team and I do is hands on in their offices.

Nothing against anyone overseas .. but a face to face meeting with people of a similar cultural background, and onsite experts versus webex / email / conference calls is all the difference in the world.

There is nothing more powerful than being able to look your customer in eye while doing business, golfing, or sharing a meal talking about the deal :)

I suppose, but I do that and haven't been able to break the 5m mark in 5 years of trying. For you to get to 25 employees and 6m in sales so quickly during this last crisis means it isn't printing money, it's you being a very very good salesman. I'd personally like to watch you work.
