what you say is correct. But pink slime is just the tip of the iceberg if the public is going to suddenly worry about what they are eating. Some of what sells in the supermarket is completely synthetic. Enough so that a company named "whole foods" is carving out a niche in actual food.

it also makes no sense to reject pink slime & eat at mcdonalds.

.

That's cute. You're one of those people who think Whole Foods is any different.

My ex used to work there. Majority of the shit is delivered by the same suppliers who then goes to the grocery store across the street to make the same exact delivery. Only difference is the grocery store will sell it for less.

Whole Foods is very good at carrying a few good things and bringing attention to them.

Like they do with their "local farm" stuff. They'll order one pallet of vegetables from a local farm and then hang a sign that tricks consumers into believing it is the entire vegetable section. The rest of the stuff is the same fruits and vegetables bought from the same large corporate suppliers that you buy for less at a regular grocery store.

Most of the shit is the same as anywhere else. People become so fanatical about Whole Foods that they rarely go anywhere else to see how its really not all that different.

Marketing that is so good even seemingly smart people fall for it.

Even the manufacturers got smart and figured that you can sell the same shit with different packaging for stores like Whole Food and charge more. They used to manufacture brand and generic. Now they do brand, generic and premium. All the same stuff, just different packaging and price points.

that shit has be used for decades, only reason anyone even knows about it now is because of the sensational media lately... there always has to be some drama, some made up problem to solve...

people make it sound like it's some deadly stuff because it's animal guts washed in ammonia... ammonia sounds bad, but it's really just a naturally occurring compound floating around in our blood...

it's perfectly good meat, that they just happen to sterilize with an evil sounding "ammonia"...

In some countries they just come right out and offer cow stomach and tripe on the menus. All of the intestines and organ meat.
We love to play games with it and pretend it's not there. Grind up a chicken thigh and leg in a vitamix blender (bone in, skin on) and you'll get.. a nugget, lol. Yums.
