Agreed.

Furthermore, I think that GFY should charge a $20-36.00 per posting fee like other forums (WHT, WF, WickedFire, etc.), and allow one bump per month or whatever it is they do. It tends to vary, but I think most can see that in this economy, the B&S is getting out of control.

This would help to filter out the REAL BUSINESS from the junk cluttering the forum. People would not be so quick to make 50 threads for different complete junk domains, or other crap.

:2 cents:

Agreed 100%

PSD 06-09-2012 12:06 PM

Agreed, although part of the problem is there is also too much stuff for sale lumped into one forum. How about a dedicated section for Buy and Sell and then have separate forums for domains, content, all other?

halfpint 06-09-2012 02:39 PM

its the sign of the times everybody wanting to sell

V_RocKs 06-09-2012 02:54 PM

Would also be nice if there was a up/down button on each post. Give it a 1/5 chance of actually moving a post...

Then if a guy bumps his 25 domain names and 50 of us call bullshit he is stuck at page 2...

If somebody has a very relevant product and 50 say yea, and 15 babies say nay, his bump will still work...

Somebody with a -200 negative average can't post... period.

But I also wouldn't mind paying!

u-Bob 06-09-2012 02:57 PM

Limit it to 1 new thread per week and 1 bump per week.

The worst offenders are the content sellers that start a thread for every set and then bump those threads every day.

BettingHandle 06-09-2012 03:01 PM

rying to sell and buy is like walking a tightrope, isn't it?

MrCain 06-10-2012 07:49 AM

I doubt the new owners even care.

True fucking dat. It's typically the same cast of characters on a daily basis. Start charging per post/bump should eliminate it.

Sad part is...some people probably jump on the chances to buy some of the shittier deals. They should set it so you can bump once max or something. I've never sold anything in there anyway. But I probably have nothing good to sell besides some .coms that are a few years old.

I looked in there today, and see it is the same exact "bumping" of 20 threads per day going on, by the usual cast of characters. It makes it hard to find the gems to have a single post when it's getting buried every day by the same handful of people bumping 2 dozen threads. Then the next one comes along, and hop scotches over him, etc..

:disgust

JosephFM 06-18-2012 05:14 PM

I totally agree. I have bought and sold a couple of domains in there but it is a pain in ass finding the good deals in there when you have users bumping crap all day long.

This would be very useful, and i think a membership in this forum should be charged as well.. an annual fee that will clean the forum

Icy 06-19-2012 12:34 AM

Fully agree, i used to read it daily to find sites for sale or traffic deals, but now it's totally useless.

fris 06-19-2012 04:16 AM

ya creating your own thread then having 20 replies, and they are all of the thread creator.

just move all the content to a sub forum and all the undeveloped domains to a sub forum. problem solved. of course there will be absolutely no posts in the main forum but I that would at least save me some time

Bumping the same thread is better than making 10,946 of the same threads though

I like this idea, posts that are not domain or content related could go in the main forum.

That would depend. If it were a single thread, I doubt most would care. Easy enough to ignore.

When you have the same individuals bumping 10-30 of their content/domain threads all at once on a daily basis, it gets old fast. You can take a peek in there now and see who are some of the worst offenders.

Or... you could forego that, and simply discourage the garbage.

It gets to be useless when the same people are bumping 10-20 threads daily all at once.

Maybe (not sure if been mentioned) have some sub forums for particular sales IE: Complete sites for sale forum, domain forum ect ect.... Would be easier to find what you are looking for and not what you don't want to see.

marlboroack 06-27-2012 12:57 AM

Wouldn't happen if you people had money.
