Does this include internet millionaires who fucked up and lost their millions and are now "content" to just post random shit?

Just curious.

So many here thinking it's cool to know a few. Meaning they once got a free drink from one. Idiots.

I know of an avid internet user who has had slightly over $1MM of mainly family money tied up in a federal tax lien since early February.

Yes, money matters. Money buys things, makes things happen, buys things that make others like you and want to be around you.
You can argue that character and other items matter, which they do, but at the end of the day there is much disdain for anyone who can't provide for themselves or have much to show for.
This is just the way things are.

you have to be either young or insecure to believe that

either way - it's total bullshit

Agreed. Money *is* good, but not by and of itself, and for totally different reasons than the ones in that statement. Makes people like you? Wtf lol - it makes *some* people like you, with those someones being the exact someone's you should steer clear of. And that's just 1 part of what was wrong with the statement.

That's more of a USA thing, not too common elsewhere :2 cents:

johnnyloadproductions,

Back in my university (UK) days there was a millionaire on the course, he had all kind of flash cars and motorbikes. The ladies loved him, but the guys hated him. He couldn't understand why he was hated, as he was genuinely a nice guy, modest personality etc.
