Happy that I had the pleasure of hosting Hunter a few years back in Vegas. The weekend was a blast, and we had plenty of laughs. With this sad news, I'm happy to have that memory.

He was a great guy with a heart of gold that would bend over backwards to help most. May he rest in piece, with whatever troubles he had well behind him.

Also, my condolences to all those close to him...friends and family.

DavieVegas 09-13-2012 10:47 PM

Hunter stayed at my house when he came to Vegas. Very nice guy and we did have a blast with him. I really really hope that he has the peace he was no longer able to have on this earth. RIP buddy. My condolences to his family as well.

Very Sad News

RIP Hunter

wehateporn 09-14-2012 03:54 AM

Back in 2009 he said this on GFY

"Whenever I'm at home I have a gun close by at all times and feel safer because of it. I don't expect a home invasion, I'm just protecting myself since they do happen. Also I don't expect my house to catch fire but I have a couple of fire extinguishers here too just in case. I'd rather be safe than sorry."

As one who has had to deal with suicide first hand (my wife 12 years ago) and recently 2 very close friends undergoing extreme financial stress which brought on major depression episodes, I need to emphatically stress there are multiple risk factors that contribute but primarily mental health conditions, such as major depression (not the fleeting depression we all experience from time to time).

To break down some myths, suicide is NOT an act of selfishness, revenge, cowardly or a cry for help. From the outside looking in it seems these things are the case. However, as my friend Thomas Joiner, a suicide researcher at Florida State University, who lost his dad to suicide, states, "(p)eople who kill themselves are influenced in doing so by mental illnesses, and these illnesses themselves are widely misunderstood, subject to many myths. But make no mistake, they're forces of nature. They're grave. They're severe, just like heart disease, cancer and stroke. They kill a million people every year - through - suicide worldwide." http://www.npr.org/templates/story/s...ryId=126365907

As a suicide survivor (yes that is the correct term used) it can be an incredible pile of shit to deal with not unlike walking through hell in a gasoline suit. You must deal not only with grief but also with myriad other overwhelming feelings, such as confusion, guilt, anger, shame, and hurt. It will haunt you for years and pop up when you least expect it to. What compounds the problems you will never have an answer. Trust me dealing with it is the hardest thing you will ever encounter.

As John O'Donohue said, "It only takes a few seconds to receive the news. Yet, when you do, you are already standing in a different world. All you know has just been rendered unsure, tenuous."

Many condolences to his family

pbracc 09-15-2012 12:13 PM

We both started in adult around the same time, maybe just a coupla years difference.
It's been some years we haven't had any contact, but i still remember him as a very nice and trustworthy guy. RIP Hunter, it's always too late when you think "I've should have known him better.."

Jman 09-15-2012 12:20 PM

Very sad news. I hope his family goes threw this ok.

He must of been suffering a lot to go out this way :(

OneWhoKnows 09-15-2012 03:40 PM

Oh my, that one hit me hard. Thanks to Hunter I was able to grow almost all of my sites to a decent size in no time. Even when he only had a tiny fraction of the traffic left he had back in the good old days, he did all he could to help me with another project this year.

I knew he had a few financial problems but I was hoping he had them solved. So damn sad to hear someone took his life because of financial shit, maybe even the current state of this industry.

May he rest in peace, my condolences to his friends and family. I'll surely miss him, too. :(

rastan 09-15-2012 04:01 PM

Great guy and worth many a long conversation. Damn shame.

Coup 09-15-2012 04:26 PM

Damn. RIP Hunter. Used to buy traffic from him left and right back in the day.

Yeah been talking to him since 2003. Been buying his traffic from 2003 as well which is quality. Sent him an email Sunday regarding a new big order and he said no problem just take a day to set up with no indications anything was wrong, sent PayPal and no response so I thought damn that's weird my man always on the ball, then I hear the news, fuck the paypal payment, sad that we lost a good honest guy. Just had 1 of my campaigns end there today and I get the automated your campaign has expired email which basically would normally never happen. Guess I'm in store for more of those automated emails in the next few weeks. Farewell to a great Dood :thumbsup https://gfy.com/member.php?u=27489

Taking own life is for cowards. I understand some cases when its actually hard to live, but money is definitely not one of those cases.

Overload 09-16-2012 07:18 PM

... today i finally got lucky and was the highest bidder ...

Why clueless? Wasn't it money reasons? Was he terminally ill? That would make more sense.
Anyway he is one coward just for doing it to his mother (and family)! I could never ever do that to my mother, imagine what pain she has.

Gozarian 09-17-2012 07:36 AM

i know the family pain quite well thank you and his this will be the most difficult thing his family will ever encounter.

thankfully, your view is not supported by ANY scientific or research data - suicide is NOT an act of selfishness, revenge, cowardly or a cry for help.

your view is plain ignorance - but like i said previously you are entitled to be ignorant.

educate yourself as immunity from suicide does not exist and it could fall close to home then that education just might be of great benefit.

So you justify that dude for providing such a pain for his family? Especially just because he had money problems (which is like nothing in the grand scheme of things, worse thing that you could do in money problem situation - move to some tropical island and live on the beach making some coin teaching kids English or whatever)? There is no need to kill yourself over money problems. Period.

The Porn Nerd 09-17-2012 08:39 AM

Very, very sad. And to have his mother contact people on his behalf......my condolences to his family and especially to his momma.

R.I.P. Hunter.

thank you captain obviously retarded

anything else you'd like to add?

Gozarian 09-17-2012 09:19 AM

your failure to understand the myriad dynamics of suicide are vastly outweighed by your deprivation of dendrites, unmyelinated axons and neuronal cells. referring to someone as a coward under these circumstances illuminates these shortfalls.

As renowned researcher Tom Joiner states, "(p)eople who kill themselves are influenced in doing so by mental illnesses, and these illnesses themselves are widely misunderstood, subject to many myths. But make no mistake, they're forces of nature. They're grave. They're severe, just like heart disease, cancer and stroke. to someone not suffering from severe depression yes easy to see that although shit may suck there is usually a way out. what you are failing to realize is that people severely depressed or those that would consider suicide there may be a chemical imbalance which doesn't allow them to rationalize or see all of the options to find that way out. If you stand by your comment then this thread not only saluted a good guy I have known since 2003 but also gives me a list of people to never do business with, I'll add ya to the list with London Baker. Everyone is entitled to their opinion even when an uneducated opinion I suppose :2 cents:

:thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup damn rite :2 cents: luckily i had friends back in 2003 who realised i wanted to kill myself (and dragged me to therapy) ... looking back i cannot understand myself - BUT, at that time, i felt so lost and without anything left in life that i would have gladly hung myself ... and i guess it can happen to anyone ... under certain circumstances people can go apeshit about their life and simply flush it :(
