google is an excellent example of de-evolution , back in the 90ies, 2-3 guys with excellent ideas and skills made a decent algo,
now 5000 apes at google headquarters have great ideas and the algo becomes more and more shit. |

That's how I used to access GFY! Well no more! GFY works on gofuckyourself keyword and should be punished!! http://www.adultwebmasteraffiliate.com/forums/gfy.jpg |
Really messed up! Again..

You realize you can type in an url in the address bar in your browser? |

gofuckyourself.com redirects to gfy.com http://traffic.alexa.com/graph?w=400...kyourself.com& |

to type "gfy" and press enter takes you 1 second I don't know about you but I prefer spending that saved second on something else! Oh and btw, if you have any sites with bookmarkers, you should see lot's of google traffic with your domain name without tld.. It's just an easier way to reach sites for some people, including me |

http://www.adultwebmasteraffiliate.com/forums/lilly.jpg if you don't have your KW in domain name, that means you actually want to rank for that KW . It's a new google logic |

You still can benefit from EDMs but you need a good backlink profile and quality content. An EMD, two incoming links and 10 shitty blog posts isn't enough for TOP10 ranking anymore. |

+ According to SEMrush it never had stable traffic from Google for its KW. |

when you used to search for gfy, you click on the direct sitelink to "Fucking around & program discussion". So it requires you same amount of clicks to reach this forum, but less time to type :) .. Anyway I find it stupid from google to penalize EMD. Bing has no problems understanding what surfers are searching for |

I have a site that actually gained traffic, it ranks for competitive KWs but doesn't rank for it's own name anymore :1orglaugh For it's own low competition name it's on page 3 outranked by blogspot, scrappers, etc. |

Shouldn't google be able to determine it on its own? Bing has no problems determining that.. |

Some funky positive traffic on some of my blogs lately. Gotta give it a few more days to settle down though.

Don't want to go in too much detail but the site I mentioned before is outranked for the domain name by a ton of spammy youtube links and URL's that go something like this http://oy3i.trt4g.com/track/KEYWORD.html |
Google needs better competition.

...and If they search for an EMD they usually get it in #1. |

I'll help you out "Google EMD ALGO UPDATE". Since the 29th EMDs are being penalized, not just losing their advantage but actually penalized, it's what I'm seeing and it is what every webmaster is reporting in thousands of posts around forums. Sure if an EMD has tons more inbound links than the competition it will keep the top spot but that is now in spite of it's name. With equal back link EMDs now rank lower than non-EMDs. Get it? |

Every single serious webmaster forum has posters seeing EMD's penalized. But if you say it ain't so Denny I'll go with you, you are the only one who knows what he is talking about :helpme |

My EMDs survived, except two new ones, and I have to admit they have barely any incoming links to them. So far it seems I would benefit from this update (traffic is up) and there are many webmasters reporting the same. |
The thing is that this algo tweak is not done yet, it slammed low quality EMDs but some got hit by mistake, so probably there will be another tweak soon after googlers will process the feedback of errors.
@Denny I agree with you about quality and link profile stuff. This update means that it won't be that easy to rank with good EMD domain only. |
Trying to figure out why one of our sites (amateurporn.net) was hit so hard. We use to be #1 for "amateur porn" and now it cant be found.
Its a very competitive term, and even with this particular EMD it took us almost 2 years to rank it in google. With high competition terms, its not that easy to rank .net EMDs high. With low volume EMDs I can get it to rank in a week. Google shouldn't categorize both of these sites together with this update I am hoping google will tweak a few things... |

why would g0ogle do that? An EMD usually is exactly what the surfer is looking for...
is it because G0ogle likes to fuck me up the ass? |
