The Name of the Rose is one of my all time favorite books. In it, William of Baskerville (character played by Sean Connery's) shares a lot of knowledge. Heretic doomsday cults are an important part of the book (not so much the movie) and, when reflecting on these groups, as he does throughout the entire book, William says something that has always stuck with me."Since the beginning of time man has been predicting the end of the world. Therefore, the world is always about to end."
