How so? The two countries are pretty much the same. They have large mountains in the north that are sparsely populated, desert areas, and coastline - although Iran has more coastline to the south, and also coastline in the north on the Caspian sea which Iraq does not have. In both countries you have everything from Mediterranean to desert to cold mountains.
Iraq and Iran were in a ten year war where millions were killed, and it ended in a draw. The United States bitch smacked Iraq twice and it in a few months with minimal casualties.
Iran wouldn't stand a chance.
