the best scene for me in skyfall was the high rise fight scene, the cinematography- wow...hell, in fact, all the shang hai scenes were very well done.

Came out the cinema without once having felt like it was overly long. Getting more like the books with less focus on gadgets.

Agreed. Bond movies are dumb-boring in general. Most are watching them just because of the franchise, not because of the value.

I feel the complete opposite, I had no interest in the Bond movies until Casino Royale, I watched them sure but I wouldn't go out of my way to see it in the cinema. Daniel Craig is the perfect type of Bond character, bit rough round the edges, cheeky, clever and overall bad ass if you fuck with him. I worry who they will replace him with after the next two movies.
