It's normal in Pattaya.
They use to show most of the busted people even if it's just shoplifting

just curious why someone would setup an operation like this in a place where you can get in so much trouble.

DirtyWhiteBoy. I know you have some experience in countries like this. What is the actual benefit besides the cost of living?

Either she is a real bimbo or she has damn bad advisers. If you read that page you will understand why they arrested here. Her sex companies are registered in Thailand. Is the same as begging to be arrested.
i.e CamWorXXX Ltd. ( Mila’s Cam Studio with a difference: 100 girls)

For her, it must have just been where she wanted to live. She could afford to live anywhere but chose Thailand. The odds of getting nailed for working on webcam are pretty slim if you keep low key.

It's not really about the cost of living, even though it is cheaper, it is about the quality of life and always having a new adventure. I never know what the day while bring while living here, or any of the other countries I go to, and I like that. In regards to why make porn here, it's just what some people choose to do.

But to put it in perspective, porn is also illegal where I used to live in the USA too (as it is in most states), but I'd much rather deal with it here and KNOW I can pay my way out of it instead of in the USA when it turns into a bunch of expensive, drawn out bullshit and possibly jail time. I've been through the ringer in the USA over porn and adult work, it was incredibly expensive and time consuming. I'd rather go through it here than there. It's just the foreign aspect of it that makes most people afraid, and rightfully so. If you don't have the stomach for dealing with 3rd world police, don't do it. If you don't mind spending a night or two locked in a hell hole and then have to bribe your way out of it all later, then it's not a big deal and only comes down to money.

You take a risk leaving your house every day. Life is full of risk. You calculate your risks, minimize them, and act accordingly. Some people just prefer to live outside of a comfort zone.

Hike up your skirt and turn off the TV. No one is randomly planting drugs in luggage.

That said, Myanmar and Laos are the places to visit now. See them before they are ruined by over development and greed.

Yeah same here i would never go to country where you can get death penalty for minor thing like marihuana, what is safe is safe. Not to the mention there is a billion of normal touristic places on world so no point to bother with them.

Same for every country go there before the tourist ruins it.
Been to Laos a couple of times, and Angkor 4 years ago but by then Angkor where ruined by tourism BUT still had a time of m life seeing something I had wanted to see for 20+ years and it were so much more than I could have imagined.

There is a short window where you can go and have a 3-4* trip, its not to touristy! , get the cheap prices the good service and then after that the place goes down hill.

Thailand doesn't give people the death penalty for weed. You pay a fine like you do in your own country, unless you're caught selling it of course. Then it is a different story. But weed is available EVERYWHERE here, and it's fairly cheap. Some cities don't even care if you smoke it, but the main tourist haunts do. Busting foreigners for drugs is just another form of income for the police. Only when you are selling it do you have real problems.

You guys watch too much TV.

Michael O 03-17-2013 08:04 AM

Don't advertise what you do and don't say you stay in Thailand then most likely you will never be found out.

gfydrama 03-17-2013 08:35 AM

Should have kept a low profile there.

the people are a lot easier to exploit. 9 times out of 10 people go there to exploit vulnerabilities within the people or the culture. while so many things there are illegal, its a lot easier to get away with than in developed countries.

most people only have television to base their opinions on but there seems to be a number of people who fly into thailand with drugs who get busted as soon as they get off the plan. total set ups.

Christ all mighty, where do you get this stuff?

The locals exploit their own people. Foreigners don't usually exploit them.

Porn is illegal in 48 out of 50 states in the USA. Do people also move to those states to exploit the girls in them? And for what it's worth, it's not that much cheaper over here these days. Drugs are also illegal in most parts of the world. So is having sex with prostitutes, and so on and so forth.

Every country in the world has laws. The only difference between developing nations and the first world is, when you get intro trouble in one of the developing nations a) You can usually pay your way out of it. b) You don't get a criminal record. c) It's not held against you for the rest of your life. d) Your life is not usually ruined over something stupid.

To put it all into perspective, dildos and sex toys are also illegal here.

You too have watched too many movies.

You want to know who gets caught trafficking drugs at the airport? Drug mules. They do not set up random tourists and plant drugs in their baggage. Drug mules get caught because the drug lord calls in and tips off customs about the person. Customs then flags that one person while 5 other drug mules walk through with no problems with bags full of drugs. That's how it works.

Of course. Like in the USA or EU, there are too many real issues to worry about instead of some people making porn in their own house. Even most of the Thais don't care about it and get irritated when the police waste their time on such nonsense.

It just seems painfully obvious. Why are these places havens for sex tourists? Why do so many criminals flock there? Because while the laws are harsh, like you said, you can buy your way out of most anything so these people can live above the law. And due to the extreme poverty, the locals are willing to put them and their children in extremely dangerous situations to try and make ends meet. Why do you produce porn there? Because you can pay them less, because its illegal, there is no regulation you have to follow. Am I wrong?

That sounds about right. There is this documentary about all the drug mules who are awaiting death in thailand jails. I just couldn't believe how many of them got busted right off the plan. What you describe makes total sense. Sucks for them.
