You might be having the same problem I had. They use CloudFlare which caches the page, you could just be getting a cached page.

It's updating live for me (flashing green/red). Current LTC/USD $5.19

I won't lose my life savings since I haven't invested any money. My profit is purely from mining, I'm only sitting on 11 litecoins though, lol

The 7870 might be at the right speed already. The people reporting speeds of 400Mhash/s on a 7870 are overclocking them.

Sounds like you should be able to get around 500Mhash/s on the 7970 not sure of those are overclocked also though.

Make sure you have the current drivers installed and the AMD APK thing installed. I'm using reaper to mine. Mess with the aggression settings to speed up or slow down mining speed. This is going to cause havoc to your screen if it's set too low and may even lock up. Try using multiple threads per GPU also.

The BTC/USD one on btc-e? It's updating for me also just saw it flash green. It's at $133. The actual chart looks like it only updates every 30 minutes.

Thanks for that i love reaper but its messing me around with the 7970 can not get it to work always getting the error 6 im happy with the 7870 but a lot of people are claiming 700 from the 7970 on cgminer but every time i load it goes crazy with both cards as i have still not figured out how to set it up for 2.

you'll have to setup a couple accounts, dwolla and okpay are the ones i use, it takes several days to get those accounts going and funded.

Ya, I'm not sure about setting up 2 on the same box. I thought I read somewhere about other people having the same problem. Do you have reaper in 2 separate folders with separate config files? I'd assume you would just have to set "device 0" in one config, and "device 1" in the other.

Error 6 is "couldn't resolve host" make sure you have the host and port set correctly and are using a separate worker login/pass combination.

Mine is setup with 2 different computers. Desktop doing 250Mhash/s and a laptop doing 50Mhash/sec.

cgminer is meant to be one of the better ones but guiminer is easier to use

MikeRoth 04-03-2013 09:04 AM

Are you all using OKPAY to deposit and withdrawal USD? Seems like everyone has cut out Dwolla and I'm not trying to hand over my drivers license to mtgox to use Dwolla through them.

Paul&John 04-03-2013 02:23 PM

hehe i've installed that guiminer thingy and with my shitty radeon 5750 i'm mining a whopping 124khash/s which according to http://litecoinminingcalculator.com/ leads to an amazing 0.81LTC/day.. awesome! :)

I'm trying out guiminer-scrypt and ozcoin, but I'm not having any luck. I'm dumping the interface and I can see it's sending strings like {"id": 0, "method": "mining.subscribe", "params": ["cgminer/2.11.3"]}, but the other end seems to be expecting HTTP? It returns a 400 response.

Any ideas? I have guiminer configured to use newlc.ozco.in port 9332 as the site says.

I think it's the "Use stratum" bit that's causing me problems... it's sending JSON rather than HTTP.

Now that I've set it to no, cgminer.exe starts but then dies (with nasty Windows problem dialog box) after a few seconds. Can't win.

You have an older version of OpenCL installed. You can actually just drop a newer version of "amdocl.dll" directly in your cgminer folder to fix it.

Try this one.

Cheers... it is amdocl.dll which is crashing. One question though, does that work with XP?

guiminer-scrypt must do something different because I was running guiminer (BTC) only a week ago without any probs.

Good luck finding a cost effective way to create an asic that meets the memory requirements of scrypt

i was wondering, prolly a stupid question but why doesn't bfl and avalon keep all their rigs to themselves instead of selling em for $1300-ish? seems like if they can make up a fancy ic, they can figure out how to run under the radar mining a shit ton without disrupting the chain.

or is that just ridiculous? or are they under agreement with bitcoin organization?

Don't forget energy requirements, networking, heat dissipation, space, and manpower.

ASICMINER is the only outfit that is deploying their own chips right now. They have something like 6TH running and plan on deploying 200TH+ within the next few months.

The ROI from the IPO price is insane.
