I couldn't help but notice the front page of CNN during the news releases of the bombs in Boston. One headline read "42 dead in Iraq blasts." And that happens every day over there, with not much sympathy from this side of the water. I shudder to think if that level of homegrown violence could ever come to Canada.

This guy is a twat. His body language and voice inflections are so fucking annoying and he uses Saran wrap as his background lol. He talks bad about America and American's yet he lives here and loves it, he puts ads on his YouTube so he can make money from the same big corporations he says are brainwashing us and uses his American-big-corporation-made Apple computer to put it all out there.
He says we live in bubbles, and HE lives in a bubble of thinking he's smarter and superior to everyone else because we care about a terrorist attack that happened on our front door. Of course its a tragedy. Some guy(s) put bombs filled with shrapnel, nails etc to go off into crowds at the moment when they are at their peak. A few people died and a few dozen more people now have no legs. Of course its a big deal because if we dont find them they'll do it again. AND at the same time some politicians received mail with Ricin in them. http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/missi...2#.UW-BwKK-o2c What does this guy want us to do...nothing? A terrorist attack on our front door and we chastise people for talking about it like him? We should lay down and so nothing because someone in Korea is in a prison camp or someone in Iraq got killed? I dont live there, I live HERE. He's living in an ivory tower with a "superiority complex", I'll bet $1,000 he would never give this speech in front of any of the victims. |
The guy is speaking overemotionally to my opinion (I don't know, maybe it's normal to the modern US media) but in general he's totally right. A 1.4 million of Iraqi people have died because of the US invasion (do you remember those "scary" 3D "photos" of Saddam's WMDs presented by Colin Powell?) for no reason. The US soldiers were killing Iraqis just for fun. So why don't you cry about them? They also were people from blood and flesh just like you. They have loved, dreamed and living their lives. But nobody cares about them. Oh, I forgot... they just were not Americans.

Then the media and government tells you to be "sad" and "remorseful" and then all the lemmings get on twitter and facebook saying how their hearts go out to Boston. Pathetic. |
i think it's super that americans are held to such high standards.
i mean, we all obviously understand human limits and how it's impossible for any 1 human to care for 9 billion people the same way she cares for her children, family and neighbors. but not for americans, based on replies in this thread, people don't just look to us for leadership and how to do things, they EXPECT us to and when we don't perform at super human levels, we are to blame. americans all need to act like individual super powers at all times. |

What these cunts like johnnyclips fail to understand is, well, pretty much everything rational really (wait for the new 'ad hominem' catchphrase while he calls me a sheep and a lemming), but especially the fact that 2 things can be bad at the same time. It isn't a race or a contest or about what's 'worse', or 'bigger'. I can just imagine these cunts going up to a rape victim and going "hey! you! STFU already, someone was murdered last night and actually died - your problem isn't a problem at all! you fucking lemming!" because that's about how fucking retarded this whole attempt at making a point is. |

Is this why you keep telling people they should feel sad about the other atrocities, both real and imagined to be caused by Govt's - because you think if you TELL us to be sad, we will be? Irrespective of what you or I believe when it comes to truthers, or points about what is or isn't bad, the fact alone that you believe people are sad because they are told to be, rather than an actual physiological reaction, says all you should be paying attention to about your sanity and reasoning. Take a step back, zoom out, and look at the nonsense you are spouting. Then with your uber intelligence, work out what a fuckwit you are, and adjust accordingly. |

ah the famous american double standard...
when something happens to america, many many many movies are made about it and many many tears are "force shed"... lets face it: pearl harbor and 9/11 are pussy ass events compared to the 1000-s upon 1000-s of bombs the USA unloads on other countries... we will be hearing the 9/11 whine for the next 20-30 years minimum: "oh our egos got wounded" iraqbodycount.org has the civilian victims at 120.000 and thats just one US corporate government "liberation" not to mention that the people of iraq have their futures literally kidnapped by your mickey mouse politics... makes you look like pussies when you complain about 3 dead... |

how many of you twats arguing that because a worse thing has happened this means fuck all have ever felt frustrated or sad at ANY thing, ever, in your life? I'd have a wild guess and say ALL of you, but by your logic, because there was someone else in a worse situation at some point ever, your frustration/anger/disappointment/sadness counts for NOTHING?
Have you any idea how retarded that logic is? |

9/11 was terrible for the people who died and their families...I am not trying to belittle their grief...they suffered terribly just like the victims of the US army any place else but the difference is the got better marketing... there is a huge double standard in the USA where 3000 american lives is worth years of whine and "ground zero" but 100.000 non american lives do not even get a "ground x" or whatever... its a cunts argument to not point out the double standard.... |
Quote:
#2 those people grieving, or sad, or whatever else they are aren't the ones who decided to bomb other countries - it's like saying if my dad was a serial killer I shouldn't feel sad for victims of serial killers #3 So basically you're whining like a pissant because the 'marketing' in their own country is 'better'? Are you upset when your sports team loses? Do you give a fuck if another sports team loses? Do you cry if the other losing sports teams' coverage in their local area is 'better marketed'? Your whole rant is because in America, Americans are saddened that Americans died, and that American media 'marketed' the events in America 'better' than they 'market' events elsewhere? And then tell people on GFY that you're lumping them all in one basket because of that? Holy shit. You're obviously a very intelligent person, but wtf... that makes no sense. 'Better marketing' being the issue - holy fucking shit :1orglaugh Newsflash - if someone else's kid gets murdered I'd be sad. If my own kid got murdered I'd be making a big issue of it for the rest of my life. That's human nature, and to declare someone, or a group of people, as somehow bad because of it, is fucking stupid. |
Quote:
no blame on them at all...I would do the same... its the rest of the country and their double standard that is the problem americans whine about 9/11 waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much and you know it... we were just beginning to hear the end of pearl harbor :1orglaugh Quote:
I would not tell this to any family members of the victims...this is completely different... Quote:
makes no sense to keep quiet about it... |

How about you feel sad and upset about what makes you feel sad and upset, and let others feel sad and upset about what makes them feel sad and upset? No-one, least of all Americans, is saying you can't be sad and upset, which *is* a double standard, so why are you so adamant that people MUST feel as strongly about issues/events which are important to you? Isn't that the same kind of 'forcing' you're telling us all you're so against? Why do you think you have any right to tell people to 'shut up' about an event, pussy ass or otherwise, that matters to *them*? There's a saying I like to keep in mind: never belittle anyone's experience, because they experienced it. Just like it applies to you, it applies to everyone else as well. It isn't a contest of who had the worst or most hurtful experience, and that's what it seems like you're trying to do here. |
