A simple drug test would put it all to rest or not?

They do care about their wallets but no one seems to be on a hurry to go live there. :2 cents:

If the majority of sponsors were able to pay in Canadian dollars or in the currency of our choices, rather than in usd dollar, you bet that all Canadians would want to get paid in CAD dollars. Ask europeans if they like to get paid in usd dollars and see pennies for each dollar they make.

Anyway I'm not here to fight with you or anyone but it's clear that it's a matter of time that USA will not be the influence on the economy anymore.

Have you ever actually been to the United States? Obviously not - EVERYTHING is cheaper in the US, not to mention taxes are 10% less at minimum. Canada is a better place to live economically for only one type of person - a freeloader, whether they're freeloaders by choice or not.

Mutt I've been in the USA but never lived there.

You have your opinion on this, Ì've mine. I have nothing against Americans but I've nothing to be ashamed for being Canadian and I have nothing to be jealous at all of Americans.

Yes our taxes are high, no doubt about it, but we have programs and services at the end. How many Americans can't afford health care?

Not sure what you really meant by freeloaders though.

Anyway I'm not here to debate or argue about this on the internet, it just sucks to read comment like who cares about Canada, but hey it's GFY. :winkwink:

Lets get back to the OP'S topic. :thumbsup

Everything you just said is about money. By that logic you should move to Cambodia.. You could live like a king!!

There's more to life than money.

Have you seen all the houses riddled with bullet holes here? Me neither.
Have you seen the ghetto here? Me neither.
Have you seen the family of 4 that weighs over 2000lbs combined here? Newp.

You say it's so much better economically there, but to see how many US citizens live you'd wonder why they aren't getting ahead... Yet every other car here is a beamer benz or better... Even after all those taxes.

Things cost more because we can afford them. You can keep your $0.99 jack in the box tacos.

I love the USA, but I wouldn't want to live there unless I was very well off. From what I've seen in my extensive travels throughout the USA it's much better to be an average person here than it is there. There are a lot of things I do envy, but also many that I would miss if I didn't live here anymore.

Besides, this whole "bigger is better" and "compare ourselves to everything" is very American. We're quite happy to not to be you. Really. Honestly. It's okay to have 2 countries after all.

LOL you're an absolute fucking idiot. Every other car in Canada is a beemer benz or better ... :1orglaugh:

the average income in Canada is $46,000 - sell ignorant someplace else.

to make the top 1% club of income earners in the United States you need to be making about $300,000 a year - to make the top 1% in Canada you need to make about $180,000.

I'll do some housing comparisons between the US and Canada later and report back. Then we'll do some comparisons in healthcare - compare how long it takes to get an MRI in say Phoenix compared to Toronto. How long before cancer treatment begins, average wait times in ER's, wait times for major surgeries.

And you're wrong - the middle class in Canada don't have it better than the middle class in the US. The poor do - I won't argue there.

I feel responsible for the turn this thread took. :1orglaugh Mutt we're just happy to be Canadians, that's all.

Yes everything is cheaper, house, cars, boxers and what not. But how many people in USA do loose everything they bought cheaper because they can't afford health care? Perhaps you can afford it, but it's not the case for the majority of americans. Yes it's faster to get an MRI but how much would it costs you? Do you have that money in your wallet in case it happens? Even if you do, do the majority of americans can?

Niktamer 05-18-2013 07:33 AM

I for one support our crack headed and drunken leader.

Toronto could also think about modernizing their "The Big Smoke" city nickname to "The Big Crack Smoke" or perhaps go with something more urban like "T-Rock".

SilentKnight 05-19-2013 12:30 PM

Mayor Ford, Imma let you finish, but Marion Berry was the best crack smoking mayor OF ALL TIME.

SilentKnight 05-19-2013 12:32 PM

Rob Ford...meet Betty Ford.

The Rob Ford thing: you're from the 80s when you hear about a mayor caught on tape smoking crack and your first thought is "bitch set me up"

Phoenix 05-19-2013 05:30 PM

There is a report going around that he is claiming a twin brother :)
