I find it hard to believe that the CIA / NSA / Whomever thought that Snowden was on the plane, ran it all the way up the chain in a matter of a few hours to the President, and then back down the chain all the way to the French government to deny them landing rights?

I think France and other countries just said "fuck this, we don't want to get involved" and denied permission. The last thing any country wants is a situation like they have in London where Julian there is stuck in an embassy.

there's a lot of common sense in this and it could perhaps explain the fuel *issue* if nations further down the flight path were rerouting or whatever, the pilot could have thought it prudent to top off the tanks earlier than needed.

it's not unlike any developing story. more is revealed over time.

yes yes yes, fuel issue and Bolivia's officials are making stories about denied flight entrance, after all its very normal thing to do by diplomats - lie about denied flight clearance. And then after you land because of fuel issue you leave the plain and all unhappy sit and answer to reporters etc.

How retarded can anyone be not to understand that "fuel issue" is lame attempt at damage control? :1orglaugh

Actually its even more funny that authors of that story actually believed that someone would be stupid enough to bite :1orglaugh

One more retard :1orglaugh Why do you think Austria searched the plane and why other countries helped to make it happen? They have 0 business with Showden + they do not usually search diplomatic planes, if ever. Of course it was orchestrated by US, I mean are you that naive or stupid? :1orglaugh

the entire story is a he said/she said right now and you are saying anyone that does side with who you think said what is retarded.

JP-pornshooter 07-03-2013 11:03 AM

you all need to do a group hug and sing some nice peaceful songs together
how about :
Kum ba yah, my lord, Kum ba yah!
Kum ba yah, my lord, Kum ba yah!
Kum ba yah, my lord, Kum ba yah.
O Lord, Kum ba yah

this is too funny, so we have bolivia saying imperialistic kidnapping all set in motion from a call from usa

we have france, italy portugal, spain, etc. all on the record saying they didn't not disallow the flight path

and we have mineistaken, a gfy poster who thinks you are retarded if you don't believe the bolivian version.

Valid point.

dyna mo 07-03-2013 12:10 PM

this is the bolivian president's idea of imperialist sponsored kidnapping of foreign heads of state

Quote:

While the Bolivian presidential plane sat in pre-dawn darkness on the tarmac in Vienna, a surreal scene played out when Spain's ambassador to Austria visited the airport to meet with Morales, the Bolivian president told reporters Wednesday.

The ambassador, Alberto Carnero, asked Morales if they could board the Bolivian plane together.

"He asked me to go have a coffee inside the plane to see the plane," Morales said.

Again - you think that its normal for a president and other highest officials to INVENT the story and ACCUSE 4 countries of something like that just for fun? I mean what would be the point for Bolivia to damage relations with 5 countries by making up lies like that?

I mean seriously how stupid can anyone be?

Most likely, you're right.. that involves a lot of President to President phone calls to make anything like that happen. I would imagine it was all agreed to beforehand and they were waiting to push the button or they all agreed beforehand to at least stay out of it and stay neutral.

This stuff is like the opening day of Iraq when the important buildings were bombed, then later troops went in to secure it and confiscate all intelligence docs that weren't destroyed... every country went silent because all of the sudden, no one knew what was going to come out of it. I would imagine most western nations have something to hide and concerns regarding Snowden and things that might possible be said publicly.

mineistaken 07-03-2013 03:00 PM

From that same article:

"Austrian officials said Morales' plane was searched early Wednesday by Austrian border police after Morales gave permission. Bolivian and Austrian officials both said Snowden was not on board."

"Preventing the passage of a high-ranking government official's jet and even searching it is legal under international law but unprecedented in recent memory, aviation experts said."

Plane was searched and it was unprecedented.

Yep, this is coincidence - unprecedented "fuel stop" and then unprecedented search of presidential plane. It wasn't because of US interest of Showden, no no. Just 2 unprecedented "coincidences" happened at the same day.

How would it be similar situation if France passed the plane? Then Showden (if he was on the plane) would simply reach Bolivia. No "stuck in embassy" situation like you claim.

is it possible snowden has extremely valuable information?

a lot of 'unprecedented actions' have taken place

epitome 07-03-2013 03:11 PM

dyna mo, you used to be pleasant, calm, cool and collected. Now it seems you're always on the offensive.

Everything OK man? I ask because you seem completely opposite of how you used to be and I enjoyed the old you. Not trying to be offensive, just wondering if all is OK in your world these days.

Possible, that is why US asked those few EU countries to stop and to search that plane.

It may just be that I've limited my own time here and when I do visit I am naturally drawn to the more popular (aka controversial) and that is what I am basing it on. If that is the case, I am wrong and apologize.

well, you are right, i like these topics. i will always participate in them and i will always try and find the latest on it and try and make a common sense post based on that. it's usually not the gfy status quo. the posters in here i am acting retarded with have historically made my posting my views as an opportunity to act retarded. if they can't carry on an adult dialogue, that's cool, i can chat at a 3rd grader's level too, so i reply.

i'm open to knockingit off, put an offer out there, no one is interested.

that should tell you something.

either way, i appreciate your post.

You ever sat back and thought.. Maybe it's not everyone else but rather yourself that is the problem?

We were having a nice little discussion and then in you come with your first post being an attack on me.

You wonder why no one treats you with respect? Its because you act like an idiot. But of course just like always you are the victim and everyone else is the problem...
