You may be right on the stills. I saw a HUGE decline in 3d still type content sales 4 years ago. Part of this was the economy, but I think a larger part of it was animated clips became easier to make. It started to become a lot easier to produce high res 3d animated clips in a much shorter of period of time. They still sucked for the most part but it looked better than stills. You also had a bunch of hobbyist on the Erotica forums who were making animations for poser. So for 100 bucks you could get some kid to setup a scene with a pre made animation and let it render for a day and then you would have a clip. You then repeat this 10 times or so and then you have the foundation for a new site for 1-2k that contain completely animated content.

My brutally honest opinion/advice. You cant keep kicking the 3d stills dead horse any longer. You should have gotten away from it 3-4 years ago or hedged by getting into another area. If it does produce income it is too small of niche to make it worth the effort since you are literally competing with 1000s of kids doing the same stuff. If you can figure out the the game situation that is your best shot. Or maybe since you know the industry well you should put yourself in a broker sort of role and team up with animators that already produce high level content and resell it for them. Not trying to toot my own horn here, but in the Adult Toon world, I don't know of anyone else who has marketed the niche and themselves as much / well as I have over the years.

the results were being brought in by about 90% of the companies that have tried/launched/succeeded in the niche, countless write ups, interviews, speaking panels, and of course that oh so silly moniker of "The godfather Of 3D Toons" from AVN.

Again, (and hopefully the last time) the problem was NEVER this not being profitable, the problem is I STOPPED for the last 2 years, and moved on to other projects, meanwhile all hell broke loose, I lost everything, and not too long ago it was shown to me that I NEEDED to come back and make the switch to Video content production, All of my buyers need it, and no one is really making it.

The money IS / WILL be there as long as I KEEP / START making the content again.

BUT, kind of hard to do that in the situation I am in right this sec.

I can think of two potential buyers, that make a lot of money from 3-D, right off the top of my head and I'm not involved with 3-D at all.

Find them, contact them, offer them a killer deal, get back on your feet.
