and btw (me as a former professional Apple user - not making that up, i swear): I can tell you dozens of stories that contradict yours. It's just useless, i figured that out over the years. If someone - like you - is such a stubborn Apple fanatic, you would never change your mind anyways. i had people in my staff that told me how great Apple is and that it never crashes that i saw with my own eyes restarting their Mac like 5 times a day (back then it was Mac OS 9 - but the attitude was the same) it's completely pointless to argue - and as you can see in the graphics posted on page 1, the general population has spoken anyways. Mac never had more than 5-7% marketshare in the PC market and it (most probably) will never have. |
Get whatever works best for you. But fanboys are indeed ridiculous.

Ever since the early 90's, people have been crowing "Apple makes the fastest machines" without any evidence of it. I have a white Core2Duo Macbook under my desk and I never use it because when I do, it takes 20 minutes to boot, and 10 minutes to load any application. Every Apple I used back in those days, even the brand new ones, was slow as fuck. I could put together a PC that would run circles around it any day. And what was this whole "Apple's are better for graphics professionals" propaganda? What a steaming load of bull-honkey that was. Back in the day I wanted to punch anyone in the face that parroted that line to me. I'm glad in the year 2013, people are finally starting to see reality. Faith in humanity is finally starting to return... sort of. Anyway... the closed environment and tight software / hardware integration is really starting to grow on me. I think I might pick up one of their machines. |

Same shit. Different subject. "It is this way, because I said it's this way, because someone told me it was this way, because I read it in a book... so therefore you cannot question it... and you are wrong, and will burn in hell for eternity." |

Here's how they ripped off the finger print technology. Apple buys Mobile Security firm authentech for 356 million dollars. The stupidity is strong in this thread. Apple is without question manufacturing the highest quality products in their respective categories.always Fastest or cheapest no, but highest quality out of the box with awesome os yes. Mac osx was years ahead of windows .... |

I've been living the life of a well-kept house husband. Life is great, to say the least. I'm in the process of starting an auto-detailing business... and it seems to have a lot of potential. I'm selling off my bulk vending equipment, because that was an uphill battle that would never maintain any momentum. I'll probably also sell my adult domains, too... I only see a couple sales per week these days it and doesn't really make much sense to continue in this business. What's new with you? |
4S works flawless, will be grabbing 5S soon. Hater's Gonna Hate :1orglaugh

DPcs nowdays can be just as fast and cheap if you are a geek and build them but most dont.
Saying apple is over priced is like saying a rolls is more than a Cadillac. Apple has had the cool factor since the ipod and users who are broke and dont care about being broke or users who have money pay a premium and Don't forget that early gen droids were total shit! When u have money and want a simple buy you go with the easiest path and between the closed ecosystem the hq design and the cool stores apple is the choice. |

My iPaq 5550 had a fingerprint scanner to unlock it back in 2003! It was cool and I look forward to the 5s one touch unlock. |
I would never pay such big price for phone. Maybe its good buy i dont want to spend 800eur on phone lol. And that fingerprint is maybe stored locally but i dont believe N.S.A will not have access if they want it ;)

I'll be buying a 5s. That 8mp camera and fingerprint technology is cool.

I'm on my 3rd Macbook Pro in 10 years, I have 2 iPads and an iPad Mini, Kindle Fire. I've had 3 iPhones, 3g, 4, 4s. I currently use an HTC One. Along with my Macbook Pro I also have a Chrome Book, Dell Workstation running Windows 7 and a HP Blade Server kicking around running Windows 2008.
So my opinion is a little less biased than most of the people in this thread. Because I use everything. When it comes to laptops no one is fucking with the Macbook Pro. Period. Other companies may have caught up (read: ripped off) design, material, build wise. But battery wise its no comparison. I'm talking real world tests. Check every review. The Apple laptops consistently out perform in this area.....which is the most important since its a fucking laptop. No one will ever surpass them because their hardware is optimized for the OS and vice versa. And the 1 or 2 laptops that you nitwits are going to inevitably link me to all have slower processors, has well tech or shittier video cards. Sony and Samsung make nice Macbook Air competitors but their batteries don't measureup. Each of the 3 Macbook Pros I've owned in the last 3 years are still with a family member and functioning fine and the build still holds up. Could you say the same about a 8 year PC laptop? No fucking way. As far as phones go I do miss iOS every now and then. Its just a more polished OS than Android is. Sure, I can do things on this phone that I could never dream of doing with my iPhone but it doesn't mean that I want to do it. Having a file system is nice. But also makes saving and later locating a file saved under one of the dozens of folders sometimes impossible. There are also apps that download things to god knows where (not mentioned in app settings) and when you uninstall the app the files remain. My biggest gripe are Wakelocks. And I come across a handful of them a week. Some coming from Googles own services on the phone. I'm running stock Android 4.3 and have a Google play edition of the phone. My favorite thing about Android? The Tasker app of course. The HTC One however has build quality that surpasses any iPhone I've ever owned. And the size is better. This is the size sweet spot for smart phones. Tablets? Not even close. I've tried all of the Android tablets. I received a Kindle Fire as a gift. Nothing comes anywhere close to an iPad. So that's my unbiased opinion. |

Then there are those of us who, for lack of a better term, color outside the lines...
My Galaxy Note 2 - to me - is far better than any iPhone on the market. Yes, even with the "ghey" pen, which I never use. I get a solid 2.5-3 days of battery life on a custom Rom, and couldn't be happier with it. I had to build a new work system recently, and built it specifically to be 100% compatible with OS X because - for me - OS X has the best of both worlds (speaking Windows and Linux). I get the same or similar programs that are available in Windows (especially the Adobe suite) and nearly the same terminal and security that comes with Linux. It's not that I find OS X to be better or worse than Windows, or Windows to be better or worse than OS X, or either to be better or worse than Linux. It's simply a matter of what works best for me. And about what also works best for me... the price. I spent less than half of what it would've cost for a "real" Mac Pro. Regardless of how much money my company makes, I am not in the business of wasting money when i don't have to. And having the technical ability to install OS X on a PC - which, let's be honest, is a fuck-ton easier nowadays from 10.7 or later than it ever was with 10.6 or earlier - and run it flawlessly makes the idea of not wasting money for a logo all that much sweeter. Bottom line is, there is nothing my "Hack Pro" cannot do in OS X that a "real" Mac Pro can. Well, if you want to get technical, I can't run bootcamp since it's a PC... but then, it's a PC so I don't need to. And then, I recently sold my Asus tablet and bought an Ipad Mini. Once again because - for me - it is what works best for me. I actually have very little use for a tablet at all and mainly bought the Ipad Mini because the size is perfect (the full sized Ipad is simply too big and cumbersome for me) and I can run Logic Remote (which is really the only reason I bought it) on it as opposed to buying a USB midi keyboard that I have no desk space for. Moral of the story? Do or buy what is best for you. |

you want developers to work with you - and they go where the most money is made thats why you have way less software for OS X than Windows and a lot more apps for IOS than Android. Just that the latter is slowly turning around |
