You dont like it work to change it or go someplace where you feel more at home those are your only real options.....Im surprised you arent on medicare anyway prolly close if not in which case its a moot point for you.

You must have missed it earlier, I do not go to doctors.

I certainly would not pay to find out if I had cancer or not; I would not go through that misery just to squeak out a couple more years.

Do you wear a "do not resuscitate" bracelet? If you have a heart attack and don't have consent over your medical treatment what will you do in that event? Rack up medical bills we all have to pay?

My brother in law house burned to the ground 10 years agoi. Antique house, built circa 1810 .

He had an insurance ' cost of rebuilding ' : Lyod`s ( lol ... just happens they were the insurer ) paid a bit over a mil to pay for rebuilding ' as it was ' ....

Medical bills prompt more than 60 percent of U.S. bankruptcies

The problem with the United States is there are enough people who believe the lies of Michael Moore and the Democratic Party.

I am aware of the stats on bankruptcies. The key word is "prompt". One has the choice of bankruptcy but no one is forced to declare bankruptcy and even bankruptcy does not automatically mean the loss of ones house. How are border crossings going for you...sport?

The problem is there is always someone who will believe someone else's lies. It doesn't matter if it's Michael Moore, the Democratic Party, or the GOP.

The problem is huge with the Internet - anyone can spin a handful of questionable incidents into a profitable business such as the 9/11 Truth movement. And sheep will follow.

Funny, everytime the right does stupid shit that even their own supporters cant agree with, those very same supporters try to justify the actions by blaming both parties or saying they are both alike..

Umm sorry they are not both alike and they are NOT both to blame. The Republican party has brought this on themselves.

They have been a two bit whore first to the neo cons, then the religious right and now the the wacko tea party.

You guys have fucked your own party up and now are trying to fuck up the entire country chasing your dumb fairy tales of how you think the govt should run.

Yep. All day long all I've heard is lie after lie coming from just about every republican congressman that opened his mouth. They just blatantly lie knowing a few morons out there will pick up on their BS and repeat their crap like a parrot. I think they've really fucked themselves this time though as I don't think people will forget this little stunt but nothing I see amazes me any more.

It's like arguing with a cop that the speed limit is too low. Little fucking late after the law was debated, passed, adjudicated and now put into effect. There never was anything to compromise on, just some pricks whining like babies.

It was never debated, if I need to remind you Nancy Pelosi said "We'll find out what's in it after it's passed." How can you debate something that you know nothing about?

Socks 10-01-2013 11:13 PM

Baddog, maybe it could be thought of in another way. I know you consider yourself a responsible person, and I'm sure you'd say the vast majority of others aren't as responsible. So there's far fewer good people who take care of themselves and don't expect to be taken care of than there are people who don't plan ahead.

So if this new law makes *everyone* contribute, isn't that going to affect moreso that larger percentage of the population who aren't responsible, honest people? So if that large chunk of people is contributing the lion's share to ensuring all the kids with shitty parents get proper healthcare... Maybe it's not so bad.

I mean in a sense it's another indrect tax. Most people don't even end up paying much if anything in income tax with their part time jobs etc. So from a conservative viewpoint, isn't this a way of getting those people to kick something in?

Wouldn't you want your wife to get screening so she could know far in advance that she may develop breast cancer and then begin preventative treatment for it? What about your kids or parents? Just because you don't want to live doesn't mean people around you don't.

You really don't understand the US medical system if you think it would cost $50k to set an arm.

I don't have a wife; my g/f, kids and dad all have insurance. They can do as they wish.

And they all live stacked up in diplapidated shitholes that are smaller than the average americans kitchen. They drive cars that Americans threw away in the 1960's, Kind of like you do. The leaders of course live in mansions and get driven in Mercedes.

Only idiots believes that what the Cuban government says about their country is true..
