Our current medical system dosnt work.
Im pro "obama care" even though I have great insurance and will most likely be paying more. Sometimes you have to look at things from a society standpoint and healthcare is one of them IMO. |

I'm disgusted with the current state of healthcare. I've had a painful hernia for 2 years now that I wish I could get repaired. Unfortunately, I make too much to qualify for any assistance, even though I live paycheck to paycheck (because of past medical debt).
I work for a place that does all of the healthcare claims and payments for our state's insurance. So, I get to see all these people who don't want to work, would rather sit around playing games & smoke pot all day than lift a finger, get free healthcare, 100% paid for by my taxes. Yes, I know some people legitimately need assistance, but most of our members don't. God, if it weren't for needing to be here for my kids, I'd be out of this country so fast. |

I didn't realize there was any where in this country that atleast basic PIP auto insurance wasn't mandatory. I guess that is one more thing to make me say wtf about Cali. Yes in florida it is mandatory as it should be every where.
*edit* Ok I see now your point was if you don't drive it is not mandatory or you can pay 35k to avoid it. Personally I think being allowed to pay 35k to not have insurance is bullshit being even a small accident can rack up more than that amount in medical bills but that is just my personal opinion. I for one am in support of people being required to have insurance for the privilege of driving not to protect themselves but to protect the other people on the road. Quote:
