What gets me, is when watching the vid, not a single cop shot when she bashed into the cop car and drove off. Then as she drove off you hear gun fire from what shoulda like a single gun. She was then later killed while having no weapon in hand and after she has exited the car and attempted to flee once again.

Ok I can get them saying the car was a weapon and she attempted to ram them.. They could get by on that as a legit shooting, however once she exited the car, that would be the same as dropping a gun and no longer being armed..

Seems cops eat far too many donuts to actually chase someone on foot and tasers are clearly too complex for them to operate. Yet never mind, they will all get paid time off and given clean kills on their records.

"At the time, they don?t know who she is, what her motivation is," he said. "When I talk to the FBI or Secret Service, they?re just amazed that she could drive at 80 mph down Pennsylvania Avenue and not hit a car?. When you?re traveling like that, and you?re erratic ? there?s plenty of pedestrians that could be killed.

"Plus, the threat to the White House raises the stakes. And then this car was seen around the Capitol grounds. That raises the stakes even higher."

Members of Miriam Carey?s family were in Washington on Friday afternoon to identify the body and planned to issue a written statement Friday night in Brooklyn, N.Y.

McCaul, who was briefed by authorities Friday, said he was told that Carey had a history of apparent mental problems. She had been hospitalized, and her boyfriend had called police to express concern about her behavior.

The part those FBI and Secret Service agents are leaving out about her driving fast through there...is that she was being chased by cop cars.
Also, was watching CNN yesterday and they said she was doing around 45 mph NOT 80. And 45 in those tight curves is pretty damn fast.

Bottom line is...they could have subdued her. I'm seeing reports today that she was depressed and emotionally unstable at the time.

Cops these days just shoot to kill. No questions asked.

I now think we DO need gun control...we need to take the guns away from the cops.

And by the way, is it me...or are cops looking more and more like a paramilitary group as opposed to law enforcement officers?
Everytime I see photos or video of any police action, the cops are all in full gear with big automatic weapons like they think they are in some kind of movie and they are all some kind of bad-ass elite special forces or something.

Great job guys! Dozens of you dressed like Rambo were able to kill an unarmed woman who had her baby in the car.

"Heroic" was how the D.C. police chief described them. :(
