Congrats to all the winners! :)

When Mansef sold to Fabian things worked out well for the company. The owners were ready to go and Fabian was ready to take things up a level.
Now Fabian is bought out and I think this will work out great for Manwin and they will probably become stronger as a company. |

The firm that loaned the money loaned it to the company, there's no reason for him to feel personal liability based on that. |

Many of us have been saying something like this would happen sooner rather than later. Of course the usual suspects laughed that off, as is usually done by the adult bro club.
I wish Fabian and his family the best. I don't like what Manwin and the people behind them helped do to this industry but Fabian has usually been pretty cool over the years to answer questions here and engage in debate. I have to respect that. Also I still feel, despite what he says, that he was always more just doing a job and never in full control. It'll be interesting to see what happens to Manwin now. In my opinion this isn't good and is a bad sign. |

Lets re cap the press releases that we have been told over the years. Unless I am mistaken he bought the company for over $100m. I dont think even his biggest fans argue that he walked in with cash. So he either managed to borrow $100m to buy a company that was under serious scrutiny by law enforcement at the time, or the $100m never changed hands. Or his "ownership" was always at the gift of individuals with the real power. I for one do not believe that it is possible to borrow money to buy companies that are having their bank accounts frozen and assets seized because they are accused of laundering money. You might be able to borrow the cash from dubious sources, but Not from bona fides financial institutions with shareholders and regulators to answer to. Manwin under his leadership then went on to raise 100s of millions of dollars more from wall st to grow the empire, all at a time when the global economic machine was grinding to a halt. And now he has sold the company for the same $100m and promise of jam later ? So one would assume that the additional payments come with all manner of caveats. e.g. Forgetting where the skeletons are, taking the rap on the tax charges etc. So in for $100m, and out for the same sum. Along the way he way he collected some serious criminal charges regarding his personal tax affairs. Now I dont care about Manwin, Fabian, Mike South, or any of the other peeps getting hot under the collar here. But the dogs in the street know that this story is horseshit, and from what I can see our erstwhile hero appears to have been chewed up and spat out by the company he claimed to own. He arrived with nothing, and he is leaving with nothing. Except for looming prison time, and some very interesting dinner party conversation. :2 cents: |
