Aikman 3-0
Bradshaw 4-0
(the 9'er guy doesn't count, lol)

Those are world championships. There's the stat that should count as to who is the better QB.

I have never really counted super bowl wins as a stat that should matter much. Sure, if you get to the big game and perform well it does show that you can do well under pressure, but football is very much a team game. For years Brady had a great defense that carried their team while Manning had a team that had a terrible defense and they had to outscore the opponents.

There are so many variables that go into a game that are beyond the control of the QB.

Let me ask you this: Would you say Trent Dilfer is a better quarterback than Dan Marino? If Super Bowl wins is the only stat that matter then you would have to say yes.

If you measured it by Superbowl rings, then Brady would be better.

But I'd call them even, because Brady had a lot of help from an awesome O Line and great defense. I'm talking about their great run a few years ago.

When Manning was good, it was mostly because he did the heavy lifting, and he has an ability to read defenses and make changes before the snap that is second to none.

he does have an incredible ability to read defenses - not sure why his playoff record isnt better though - I guess if he had played for NE under Bellichick all this time he would be the better QB...but as it stands Brady has him by a nose

Peyton is a better regular season quarterback and Brady is a better quarterback in the playoffs when it counts.

yes, he doesn't have the playoff stats, but he wasn't playing with the Patriots. Tony Dungy is no Bill Belichick.

That sums it up.

I'm a lifelong Eagles fan. When I think of Tom Brady or Manning, it makes me realize how inadequate a QB Donovan McNab was. He was good, but Brady and Manning are on another tier.

I grew up in South Jersey, which is basically Eagles Country. And I still have the accent that my wife makes fun of all the time.

Game - Set - Match

And I am a Steeler Fan, have yet to see this mans equal when it comes to LEADING a team to victory, his walking on the field made everyone around him better.

I came into this thread expecting nothing but the usual nonsense and here I find to my utter astonishment a few people who actually 'know their shit'.

:thumbsup:thumbsup for both of you.

As much as those guys get paid, they should be playing like every game is the Super Bowl.
