Here in Western, NC today it was about 12F, low forecast to be about 1 degree tonight. I'm in the mountains so that means sub zero at my house thermometer.

I have a great wood stove though and the house is a comfortable 74F right now... :)

Me and my wife bundled up and took a 2 mile walk in it today with the dogs...was actually quite pleasant with the proper gear on.

I heard that over the next 24 hours every state in the U.S. will be below zero at some point, including Hawaii.

I'm assuming they mean zero celcius.

Yesterday when I was running around middle of the day it was -5. Last night they were saying it was going to be -40 degree windchill. I do not know if it got that cold, but it's been off the hook the past few days with the windchills.

Got to about -4F last night. Woke up this morning with the kitchen sink pipes frozen....not even a dribble. Thin walls not enough insulation from outside temps I suppose, house never went below 60F last night.

We ran our electric blanket last night and were cozy as hell in bed....did not want to crawl out.

Spent yesterday and today getting to it and repairing it....when I could have been working on my sites.

I spray-foamed them fuckers up so much that they could withstand -40 now.

I wish i was born around the equator, there are always good temperatures, not extremely hot and in any case not cold (the temperature never drops below 20 degrees)
