And i have 15 flights in next 45 days:) And am already scared even without that poor airplane crashing :(

Speculations are that its an asian terrorist attack against fellow asian country china over the border issues that they're currently involved in. Whats our world coming to? :Oh crap

_Richard_ 03-10-2014 12:13 PM

if they were able to see it go down by radar, does that mean it went down whole?

any of the military folk know?

:2 cents:

this is a very good post indeed.

What is great about the airline industry is that when shit happens, they make sure that same shit can never happen again. When there is a technical incident, every single modern commerical aircraft is modified so that same technical issue can happen again. And with the aftermath of something like this, security will be crazy right now.

wish we could say the same about the automobile industry.

nice answer. Again:
You expect a second plane crash going to china anytime soon, just because a plane already crashed going to the same country? The odds of winning the lottery are probably a million times bigger! Think!

I hope you will read the above again and think 'hey, that's right, me going to china doesn't have anything to do with a plane crashing that went to china as well'. But my guess is you completely miss this point.

I'll simplify it for you, your comparison is like this:
News: "A woman was driving from Las Vegas to LA, when all of a sudden a pigeon hit her windshield and she lost control over the vehicle. As a result her car flipped over in a ditch and she died."
Vendzilla: "Oh my god, I am driving to LA as well tomorrow. Wish me luck!"

Understand it now how ridiculous and unrelated your comment was?

I'm hoping this will knock down prices out of Kuala Lumpur, just like the bargains you could find right after 9/11

So how come they did not find it yet? Strange in this technology age.
By the way there are conspiracies that pilots were the ones who did it. At least many in Malaysia talks about it as an option. Anybody heard about this?

Mutt 03-10-2014 07:56 PM

If it was an act of terrorism shouldn't somebody be claiming credit for it? Without that where's the intimidation factor that is the goal of a terrorist?

was in the updates for that feed on the day the thread was posted.. Vietnam Navy reported they watched a plane go down on radar

however it seems the news has officially gone fubar.. cnn and other threads are discussing the plane simply turned around, flew back past the airport they took off from, etc
