Russia just got kicked out of the G8.

They've been a member of it for about 20 years now, ever since they "took down that wall" and joined the rest of the world as a friend. Sad to see them reverting to their old ways.

Does putin plan to reunite the USSR by force and this is merely the first step? At any rate what a thing to pull right after the Olympics. He had some pretty high good will built up there for his fifty billion investment, and a few weeks later it's all kaput.

The only other option for Russia would be nukes, which the MAD theory takes care of anyway (they still have enough warheads to nuke the whole planet several times).
