I'll try my best to defend the crown! It took me forever to enter a team this week. I think this is the most difficult season yet to pick a competitive team with £100 million, I hate this part because I spend ages deciding on a team and then by Gameweek 2 I've changed my entire team! :1orglaugh A big thanks to Ross and Traffic Force, that's really generous of you guys to make it free to enter this year! And of coarse Poppy for organising the whole thing again, it certainly makes the football season a lot more interesting! 35 competitors and counting... This is gonna be fun :thumbsup |
Big kick off tomorrow. Man U getting things under way with the early kick off. No Man U players in my squad this time after the farce of last season.
No doubt that means they will be flying this year... :1orglaugh:helpme |

Up to 36 players! C'mon people, if we can get to 50 players, Ross said the prize money may increase :)

I hope everyone got their teams done in time as GameWeek 1 is now closed so its GAME ON!
1st - Chelsea have the midfield engine they have been looking for in Fabregas and a forward that might actual score goals this year in Costa. Once they have their WCup stars up to match fitness chelsea are going to be a very strong outfit this year. 2nd - ManCity have a terrible run of fixtures to start the campaign with plenty of players still not ready for the season opener. Will Dzeko and Jovetic be able to score enough goals... and at 11m you would have to have been mad to go with Yaya and most are looking at Silva to shine this season. 3rd - Arsenal have made great signings in Sanchez and when Walcott's back the pace in that front line is going to be deadly. Still weak defensively as they need a new world class CB and Mert and Ozil still not ready for playing time after the WCup win. Ramsey looks to be starting this season as he finished the last! 4th - ManU start us of with the first game of the season. Their defence looks ragged to say the least especially now that shaw is injured. Mata and Rooney to star today or maybe some went with the dirt cheap Ashley Young at 5.5m! 5th - Liverpool with no Suarez will be interesting to see. Sterling looks to be the pick of the bunch with Countino having a great pre season. Like City they have an epic first few games after Southampton. Tomorrows game will be fun as Southampton sold all their best players to Liverpool. it will be interesting to see how liverpool handle life post Suarez maybe Sturridge will get his chance to to shine now and continue with his terrible goal celebration. This is how i feel it will finish up come game week 38. Chelsea are going to be strong throughout Fabregas is epic and Costa has skills. City may struggle this year and Arsenal could even beat them to 2nd place. ManU finding it tough with no midfield magic but having no EU football will help them over the season. Liverpool i'm not convinced yet as they will have to contented for the first time in years with CLeague fixtures mid week. |
And here we go!!!
Ashley, I went with dirt cheap Ashley last minute! So many players to choose from. |
Oh dear. Man U start as they finished last season...
|
Ugh and I sat Sigurdson this week.

I need my 3 Chelsea players to pick me up some points tonight.
Already hanging around the bottom of the table already after week 1... |
Game Week 1 is Complete.
Don't forget you now have a chance to dump a player using your free transfer. If you don't use your free transfer it will roll over to next week so you have 2 transfers. Any transfers that are not free will cost you a valuable 4pts :winkwink: There are some really good teams in the league so for but 37 weeks to go so don't give up if you had a bad week :thumbsup |
Woohoo 5th !
Can we just end it there ? I won't get a higher position than that :1orglaugh |

I knew I shouldn't have picked all those Stoke players.

United played awful! I stopped watching after 45 minutes, they where about 2 or 3 yards off the pace. They didn't look much different than under Moyes last season. Man United's defence is a mess. |
Quote:
Bojan was worth a punt at £5.5, they've just signed Victor Moses on loan for the season and Arnautovic had a good first season and I reckon he'll improve this year. If they can improve their away form they might be able to break into the top 10 |

Surely Man U still to make some signings... |
I made 7 transfers lol. Lets see how we go this week.
|
good luck this week everyone.
And by 'everyone' I obviously mean 'no-one, except me' :winkwink: |

Of coarse none of the above applies if you're competing against Ashley because he always finds bargain players that do great for him :winkwink: Here are 2 links that elaborate on what I'm talking about (In depth) http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.u...r-league-game/ http://www.fiso.co.uk/forum/crack-th...s-t103498.html Quote:
