Jesus you captained Clichy? Pellegrini has pissed me off big time the past few weeks. I bring in Clichy he benches him. I bring in Zabaletta.... BENCH! I almost captain Yaya doesn't play. Bastards.

Yeah i second that totally crazy choices in defence rotations. i would have thought he has bigger issues up front and should have just kept a solid back 4 and maybe the Burnley embarrassment wouldn't have happened! No idea now if Yaya will even play this GW with a lot of cash tied up with no new news!

Jel 01-01-2015 09:35 AM

I also benched clichy for baines this week... fml :1orglaugh

Jel 01-01-2015 12:08 PM

I also benched chadli for dyer, ffs! can we start again? lol

Game Week 20 Complete.

What a bumper holiday season of football capped off by the best day so far yesterday. The Spurs vs CFC game was epic!

Jel, there is always next year but we do still have a very long way to go!

This last week i took a -8 hit to bring in Terry and Sterling then proceeded to forget to click confirm team changes and left terry and sterling on the bench :1orglaugh am just happy i had chosen my Yaya cap days before as Austin failed for a lot of people :upsidedow

This is my 1st year playing this so I'm still learning the ropes (playing my wildcard in week 2 being a good example lol), but fuck me if I don't get some shit luck sometimes... I'm almost never awake before midday, but this gameweek was awake at 11.20 so did this:

clyne benched (injured so no choice)
clichy benched, baines in
chadli benched, dyer in
switched captaincy from kane to siggy

end result: cost myself 38 points :error that'll teach me to get up before noon on a matchday :1orglaugh

good fun though, and starting to get the hang of certain things etc :)

ROFL! I thought that was tactics on your part leaving those two players on the bench!

Ballsy taking the -8 hit but it worked out for you nicely Ashley, back up to joint first!

Congrats!

The leader is changing every week atm, good stuff!

you can see by my history over the last few years it takes a little time to settle in. bringing in baines was suicide though as Everton are in a free fall! we never see teams before the 11:30 deadline so setting up friday will never be a bad thing IMO. nobody saw kane points coming so many benched him was pretty random for CFC to let in 5 has been 1 or 2 times in CFC last years they let in 5! Great to see you're getting into it though so keep it going as we have still a long way to go with 18 GWs left!

lol yeah wold have been great if they both did nothing but wisdom 1st sub was a dead give away of a fail on my part :upsidedow whats you team name would be interested to take a look. you have a Wcard now that will expire at the end of Jan use it wisely as it goes away after the transfer window in jan shuts.

AshleyC 01-20-2015 01:43 PM

Game Week 22 Complete.

Poppy killing it this week in total contrast to me doing the exact opposite! Top 2 teams in the league looking very good consistent and making the right moves... nice work!

Costa and Downing killed me this week who killed your team? Now we have a nice break for FA Cup etc is getting down to the crunch time of the season. Thanks to Ross and Traffic Force for the sponsorship of what i feel is one of the closest leagues in the FPL game!

Keep it up we surely can get down to the last weeks with the no. 1 still undecided :thumbsup

CamTraffic 01-20-2015 06:35 PM

And Costa killed it! Who was it again that had him benched this GW? Lol

Regarding GW22, I actually fell asleep on Friday night and woke up pissed off because I forgot to make my changes. Funny how that can work out positively in the damn game. Now, regarding GW23 I played my Jan WC and took a little gamble on Carzola as my Capt. and it paid off big time. I was going to pick up Sanchez and saw he had a slim chance of stepping on the pitch.

AshleyC 02-03-2015 03:05 PM

Game Week 23 Complete.

Poppy and Harmik killed it this week getting 100+ in any GW is a great achievement, nice work gents :thumbsup

The Arsenal game did lots of us well. I'm dropping like a stone getting burnt so much this year on United players. The Costa ban mixed it up and most of us in the top group have very similar players. Very exciting league setup by Ross Traffic Force. The transfer window is now closed and CL is just around the corner. Good luck to all in GW 24.

Poppy maybe best you miss the deadline again and just let that team roll :upsidedow

This year has been so competitive!

I think we've had a new leader for the past 6 or 7 weeks in a row!

Only 35 points separating the top 5 :pimp

question about double weeks - do they go on the players you had in the original gameweek, or the players you have when the game in hand is actually played?

eg if I had 3 chavski players in gameweek 26, no game, then transfer them all out, and they play the game in hand in gameweek 30 - the team from gameweek 26 stands for that extra game, right (and of course the up to date team stands for the current gameweek)?

Hey Jel,

Game week 26 has come and gone. Your team in GW 30 is only what will count for the double game week so if you have no CFC players in GW 30 you will have no CFC players for the double GW.

Double Weeks are so important they are a chance to really rack up points if you plan it out properly.

Jel 03-16-2015 05:38 AM

gotcha cheers Ashley, and yeah for sure Shap (and really lose points on no-game weeks if you don't plan!)

Poppy 03-16-2015 08:43 AM

What a horrible weekend! Burnley beating ManCity? I had Boyd as my last sub on my bench...lol.

Poppy 04-13-2015 12:26 PM

It is tight at the top! Going to be a race for the top 3 this season in our league!

Jel 04-13-2015 12:46 PM

2 awful weeks results wise, bet the bookies loved that, and totally fucked up by keeping Kane instead of going for austin as captain in bonus week... had an extreme brain fart and felt kane would get more than double points of austin even with 1 game vs 2, forgetting of course that it'd be 4 lots of points for austin, not just 2 ><

Kane off the boil also anyway, and blah blah I'm just making excuses now lol. 1st season doing it though, and learnt some stuff so hopefully I'll improve next season :)

Good luck to those up at the top :thumbsup

Poppy 04-13-2015 01:01 PM

Yeah Jel, I forgot to make my changes in week 31 and thought I majorly screwed up, but fortunately it looks like I dodged a bit of a bullet.

AshleyC 04-14-2015 01:02 AM

Game week 32 Complete:

We are now into the final stretch. This season has flown by with just 6 more game weeks to go. CFC look to be on course for the title but they still have a couple of hurdles to go with United and Arsenal in the coming weeks. Now is the time when the lower teams in the league fight to be in the EPL which changes so much. The top 4 is still very much unknown with every one of the teams wanting to get into the CL next season. Could we all be in for a shock and see City fail to get back into the CL. United are back into form and can Southampton finish the season above Liverpool. So much for many teams to fight for gotta love the EPL!

Good luck to all and thanks again to Ross and the Traffic Force team for putting this on for us it's so close at the top really a fantastic group of managers this year... nail bitting finish for all :thumbsup

RyuLion 04-14-2015 02:33 AM

and THIS right here, is what I love about the EPL. Bolasie had a HUGE haul. Did you have him on the bench and then he got subbed in, due to Remy getting hurt?

Yes Poppy so happy remy didn't play lol finally the FPL gods gave me a break :pimp last few weeks i had my changes in mind and bottled it to only watch every player fire that i choose to not bring in! I'm well out of the race you guys on top and Coatsy's wild card are too much to beat at this stage of the season. Cant wait for the next real game at the next show might even fly into Amsterdam for a day just for the Epoch game :1orglaugh

Well played Poppy on putting Glen Murray in your team, I seriously considered transferring him in this week and decided against it. I think that transfer may have won you the title, I didn't expect Crystal Palace to hammer Sunderland 4 - 1

6 games to go and all to play for but you're 52 points ahead of me, it'll take something special to beat you now!

You're only 4 points behind me now, a Wild Card is only useful if the transfers deliver more points but there is no guarantee!

We're back to a 4 horse race!

Poppy 04-17-2015 10:03 AM

Thanks Paul, but you are by no means out of this race! It is tight at the top.

Nice to see the Pulis effect bring the Palace late transfers down to earth :upsidedow Leicester could be able to stay up this year with another victory but not sure if it's too little too late.

Good luck for the next GW :thumbsup

This weekend is pretty interesting w/ the DGW's.

Who would have thought Hull would finish up with 2 clean sheets and Dawson banging in a goal as well :upsidedow I covered Loserpool just incase but I was not expecting them to fail so badly on the DGW! CFC have the title in the bag and will be crowned champions at home to Crystal Palace at the weekend.

4 weeks to go :thumbsup

Shap 04-30-2015 04:14 AM

My fantasy season is toast but at least I should be celebrating the title Sunday at Stamford Bridge :)

Nice weekend Ashley and Manfap! Man, it is tight at the top!

Poppy 05-04-2015 03:45 PM

Man, this is heating up! I see you Ashley!

Jel 05-05-2015 02:44 AM

awful week for me... forgot to do anything at all with my team so still had some liverpool players from the double gw, and accordingly a poor captain choice as well >< Though all I'm playing for is a target to beat next season. Again, gl to those up at the top :thumbsup

AshleyC 05-05-2015 10:19 AM

Game Week 35 Complete:

So CFC are champions and Loserpool will have to give them a guard of honour next GW :winkwink: United suffered there first and third straight loss under LVG which was only a gain for Myhill owners like myself.

Good luck to all for the next GW :thumbsup
