Would anyone know where I can get a copy the fast version of the song “MEMORIES” recorded in the 80’s, if my memory serves me correct it would be around 1984?
I have searched high and low for that song but for some reason it doesn’t seem to as much as exist anymore yet I am absolutely positive of what I’m saying, it was popular when the song What a Feeling by Irene Cara was a hit. I distinctly recall radio station DJ”s commenting of all the slow versions made of this song (Barbra Streisand’s version being the most popular) this fast version has made it higher in the charts than them all. If I’m not mistaken I believe it actually was number 1 on the charts for short time. |
On August 1, 1981, the world was introduced to Music Television.
While released as a single in 1979 this was the first video played on MTV: How old were you in 1981? My youngest child was about a month old when this played on MTV for the first time. |

Must post this in response to the Yahoo article I read about all the "jaw-dropping" moments at the MTV Video Music Awards. OK, it was the Grammies, but this was 30 years ago, kids. You know NOTHING about jaw-dropping surprise performances these days. You're just cheap late-night Cinemax softcore and meaningless feel-good charity product placement now. Twerps.
