You may want to check your ratios. 34 is pretty round for training that much.. I'm at around 33 right now and I'm soft as shit.. I've had a bad year with injuries though.

cut down on carbs maybe?

I was going to point this out too...34 is a big waist for being in shape imo...anything over 32. I say 29 in the summer around 30 in the winter. I hate the winter. :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

I'm actually closer to 31-32", but I wear size 34 pants because I can't stand tight pants. The shorts I'm wearing in my picture are size 32.

I'm also a "big guy" -- I have a large frame. I just dropped down from 220 to 215.

man add injuries to your winter! hehe they tend to compound while being inactive too. Just starting to crawl out of that hole now.

As you get older you sure start to train differently. I remember a few years back when you and I would talk and we would be at 2 opposite ends of the spectrum...now...same page!!! Our bodys ache when we workout but they hurt when we don't.

I can jump in the sauna for a few hours tonight and post pics of me in a tight shirt too man, wouldn't change that my bodyfat % is too high right now. bf% and waistlines don't lie.

I'm not saying thats unhealthy, i'm just saying for someone training for 4 hours they should be more slim. I got down to 28 without the gym at one point. (with the gym is obviously better, i'm only saying for example)

A 34 waist is not big or unhealthy for someone who is 6'0" and 215lbs. I haven't had my body fat measured in a long time because at 40 years old, I'm not trying to win any beauty contest. I train because I've trained my entire life and it's my drug of choice.

Losing weight is 80% diet

I lost 70lbs in 7 months, but thats because I was diagnosed with diabetes and I had to.

I've said twice now that it isn't unhealthy. Your height and weight have zero to do with your waist size though, that is my point. Nobody has a 'big frame' they just have higher bf%

get your carbs down a lot, limit them to only vegetables and a tiny bit of fruit, increase your fats (yes, fats) and you will see the difference fast I assure you. From a fighters perspective think about weight classes. You are in the heavyweight division, when you probably could get down to at least a welter weight without sacrificing strength.

This is me and my ol lady working out on vacation in Puerto Vallarta last month. Fitness and a healthy lifestyle is something we are both passionate about. That is why I dont like the term "diet", it means something temporary. Yeaaa....you can workout and eat healthy for a few months and get in better shape, but then you go back to your old habits of watching TV every night and eating fastfood you will end up worse than you started.

Fitness is a lifestyle not a destination.

Are there many fat people in China?

I am 182/98
I carry a decent amount of muscle. I think i would be way healthier at about 85-90 kgs though.

In China and Korea the fashion seems to be for guys to be bone thin. So i stand out. Randy randy made a good point though, most girls here do not care if you have a bit of a belly. They think it means you are strong.

I was just shocked at the forwardness of it. Haven't seen someone in a few months, first thing out of their mouth is.....hey you got fat. Fuck.. lol

ErectMedia 08-29-2014 06:48 PM

Wish I could take 10-15 pounds from ya, don't think I'll gain unless I quit smoking as crazy metabolism.

The Porn Nerd 08-29-2014 07:37 PM

One man's "fat" is another man's "skinny".

I used to be 175lbs ripped but couldn't do serious exercise in two years due to serious injury and now I can again. But now I weigh 200lbs with very little muscle and I am a fat fuck. Lost 15 lbs so far in the last 5 weeks.

~50g carbs. No straight up bread.
Nothing with sugar in it (except maybe like 1g or something).
High protein and fat.

Do a Walk/jog/sprint for about 2 miles every other day. You basically walk for a little bit, then jog for a bit, then do an all out sprint till you can't anymore and go back to a walk and repeat.

Use app lose it to keep track of calories and weight loss.

Its pretty easy to do if you stick with it.

Once I get to like 155lbs (my runners body) I will then start slow bulking process till I am like ~170 and then I will be in decent shape.

Bourke 08-29-2014 11:45 PM

Brent- Dont jog, walk and sprint.
