I had read that as well. The rumor was that their parents pimped them out to various people. Supposedly it was proven to be false, but you never really know.

I think Amanda has some of the same issues you see with someone like Lindsay Lohan. Most kids are not mentally equipped to handle the stress/adulation etc that comes with stardom and fame. Hell, most adults aren't either. So when you get a kid that is 12-13 years old and is basically the main bread winner for the family many times the parents just look the other way and ignore their problems because their livelihood depends on the kids continuing to work. Then, by the time anyone really says anything the problems have escalated well beyond where they should have.

I did my share of drugs when I was younger (my share and your share too, lol) No amount /type of drugs ever made me think my dad whipped his junk out.

Either its true (doubt it) or she is good old fashioned crazy, which I think is the case. She had to do a bunch of psych evaluations didn't she? I know here parents got conservatorship of her estate for awhile.....and it is almost impossible to get a court to grant someone control over someone else's affairs (especially an ADULT) if its not crystal clear they are bat shit nuts
