I have countless friends that lost their virginity to a teacher or some other woman in the neighborhood. I was the neighborhood kid that mowed the lawn and shoveled the snow. At most (and at the very least as well) she should lose her job for abusing the whole "person in position of power having sex with a student" thing. But beyond that it's a long stretch to "statch-rape" and this 17 yr old being any sort of "victim".

As for making light of it, I say and have always said we really do need to have a sense of humor about such things. I can think of a lot of dads I've known over the years, dads of friends, dads of teammates during all my hockey years, etc, who would have inwardly been proud of their boy for scoring a hot teacher. Of course the mothers would have been scowling, and the teacher would lose her job (of course), but dear ol' dad would have been PROUD.
