That's a valid question. If a man wants to pay a woman for sex and the woman is willing to have sex with the man for $X, where is the problem?

Wow. It's not hard to see why you are so dogmatic in your beliefs when you paint with such broad strokes. How do you justify making stuff up and presenting it as informed opinion?

Exactly. It should be regulated and taxed just like weed should be.

Obama's fault for being a bad leader, he always worked against the GOP, naming how they were impeding his every effort instead of working with the GOP

Clinton worked with Newt, Reagan worked with Tip, no one wanted to work with Barry!

Barry wanted to blame everyone instead of taking the blame

I guess the banks are so use to writing their own legislation that they did not want the law makers screwing it up so this time they actually wrote it themselves.

Liz Warren is the only Senator having enough BALLS to speak-out and is a women.

I don't get it, we have a total bank failure 70 years ago, and it took them some 4 years to get proper legislation to keep it from happening again (glass-steagle) and they take the legislation off in 1999, they call it outdated, and it only takes them 7.5 years to bring us to the same disaster again.

Let me guess, it won't happen again because they have learned their lesson and won't do anything like that again. That is what we were told in 1999 by senator Phil Graham (who's wife was on the board of Enron).

Now we let the banks write their own legislation and Pass it without debate. If it was so straight forward and good, why did they slip it in at the very last minute before passage.

The smartest guys in the room that worked at Enron, went to work at the big banks after Enron collapsed. They seem to keep their job at the banks after they bring the same good fortune to them and us because of the American taxpayer paid off their debt.

Those smartest guys in the room seem to be hell bent on bringing the U.S. economy to the same likeness as Enron where they started. They seem to be in control. They get to author their own legislation.

Prepare for a new vaporware economy.

And no one went to jail. Even George Bush Sr put a few guys in Jail.

No, I think he just likes to use over-the-top hyperbole. It's a common trait of "progessives".

Which, in a way makes my point.

When we look back at the Clinton years most people don't say, "Wow, those republicans really helped Clinton out and together they did a good job." They say, "Things were good when Clinton was in the White House." The same with Reagan. many people say, "Things were good when Reagan was in the White House."

They blame Obama for things that have gone wrong.

The Civil Rights Act was called for by JFK. It was initially introduced by a democrat and even thought some democrats filibustered it and tried to stop it in the end a democrat controlled house and senate passed it and a democrat president signed it. They are going to get the credit for it.

Who's 'evading"? I clearly said CONSERVATIVES fought against civil rights. That is a plain fact. Those conservatives could have been either Republicans or Democrats or whatever else.

For someone who claims to dislike both parties, you sure get hung up on "Republicans" vs "Democrats".

Robbie 12-18-2014 06:09 PM

Face facts...The Republicans can legalize drugs tomorrow and create legislation to make abortion easier and people who have chosen the Democrats for their "team" will still find a way to hate Republicans.

And the Democrats could cut taxes and cut spending tomorrow and the people who fall for this whole "team sport" approach and are on the Republican "side" would still find a reason to hate the Dems.

Oh wait...they already did that kind of switch a few decades ago.

I hope that all of us can soon realize that the 2 party system is designed for ONE thing and one thing ONLY: to keep Republicans and Democrats in power.

They both trade power back and forth and guess what: NOTHING CHANGES.

And somehow they have people convinced to pick one "side" or another while they slowly ruin our country together.

Ok, fair question I guess, but am I wrong?

To clarify, not ALL republicans are that bad. Rand Paul for example seems to be moderate to center at times, vs let's say, Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachman who are on the extreme end of the spectrum.

I'm not being anyone's cheerleader here, just stating facts, but if you can't debate facts, that's ok!

I became a libertarian a little while ago, I don't care for either party

So would someone like Bob Dole have a place in today's conservative movement and Republican party? Don't even try to say he would.

WRONG.

All Republican POLITICIANS are bad. So are all Democrat POLITICIANS.

Can't you see that these two parties have held power in this country for well over a century and have worked together to cause the problems we now have.

Which is why it's so goddamned funny that they keep getting voted in over and over and over.

This year we're all mad at Democrats. So let's vote Republican.
Next election ...we're all mad at Republicans, so let's vote Democrat.

Fucking insanity.
