New teaser trailer!

H-Tom 03-31-2015 07:20 AM

Yeah, The King of All TV series has returned! I was so tired of watching all of these overrated tv series like Better Call Saul and The Walking Dead, they should change the titles of these shows to Boring Bad and Borring Shit with Zombies.

Plutocracy 03-31-2015 09:20 AM

I still have to finish last season ugh lol

LA Crew 04-12-2015 06:34 AM

The 40 things you need to know before season 5 starts

1. Tyrion sent Shae away for her own safety after Cersei discovered their relationship. She later returned to testify against him at his trial.

2. ?Littlefinger? Petyr Baelish and Olenna Tyrell orchestrated Joffrey?s murder.

3. Joffrey?s brother Tommen was crowned king.

4. Margaery was scheduled to marry Tommen ? the third time she will be a Baratheon?s queen, after Renly and Joffrey.

5. Jaime and Cersei got it on again. Then cooled it off. Then got it on again.

6. Jaime sent Brienne of Tarth and Podrick Payne to find Sansa.

7. Tywin manoeuvred Jaime into leaving the Kingsguard to take his place as his heir, in exchange for sparing Tyrion?s life.

8. Tyrion was framed and falsely convicted for Joffrey?s murder and demanded a trial by combat, in which his champion Oberyn Martell was killed by the Mountain, Gregor Clegane.

9. Bronn was bought off with an arranged marriage to prevent him from acting as Tyrion?s champion.

10. Tyrion was released from prison by Jaime and Varys. The latter opted to join him on a departing ship after he killed both Shae and Tywin.

11. Littlefinger revealed that he persuaded Lysa Arryn to poison her husband Jon, which set the events of the entire series in motion.

12. After Lysa?s death, Sansa testified in Littlefinger?s defence and allied with him.

13. The Hound, Sandor Clegane, accompanied Arya to the Eyrie, only to arrive shortly after her aunt Lysa?s demise.

14. Clegane was pushed off a cliff by Brienne and left for dead by Arya. His fate remains unknown.

15. Arya used Jaqen H?ghar?s iron coin to secure passage on a ship to Braavos.

16. The White Walkers returned and turned a baby into one of their own.

17. Sam took Gilly to Mole?s Town for her own safety. She was spared by Ygritte during the town?s massacre.

18. Mance Rayder?s Wildling army attacked Castle Black but was repelled.

19. Davos Seaworth wrote to the Iron Bank of Braavos and convinced them to back Stannis?s claims to the Iron Throne.

20. Stannis arrived at the Wall with his Braavos-funded army to rout the Wildlings.

21. Bran found the Three-Eyed Raven, who told him he would never walk again but will one day fly.

22. Daenerys captured Meereen and stayed to rule upon hearing that Yunkai and Astapor were no longer free.

23. Daario Naharis defeated Meereen?s champion, bedded Daenerys and was promptly sent to Yunkai to negotiate with its old Masters.

24. Daenerys exiled Jorah Mormont after learning he was originally sent to spy on her.

25. Daenerys locked up two of her dragons after the third incinerated a young girl.

26. A broken Theon Greyjoy, renamed Reek, was used as a Trojan horse to capture the strategic stronghold of Moat Cailin.

27. In return for taking Moat Cailin, Roose Bolton conferred his family name upon Ramsay Snow.

28. Theon?s sister Yara unsuccessfully attempted to rescue him from the Dreadfort and subsequently declared him dead.

29. Polliver: The Lannister man-at-arms, who killed Arya?s friend Lommy, was killed by Arya at the Inn at the Crossroads.

30. King Joffrey Baratheon: Poisoned at his own wedding.

31. Dontos Hollard: In the aftermath of the Purple Wedding, the knight-turned-fool Ser Dontos Hollard took Sansa to Littlefinger, but was killed to ensure his silence.

32. Karl Tanner: Killed by Jon Snow at Craster?s Keep.

33. Locke: Sent by Roose Bolton to kill Bran and Rickon Stark, but killed by Hodor after Bran warged into him.

34. Lysa Arryn: Pushed through the Moon Door by Littefinger after she saw him kissing Sansa.

35: Oberyn Martell: His skull was crushed by The Mountain during Tyrion?s trial by combat.

36. Ygritte: Killed by an arrow from Olly in the attack on Castle Black and subsequently burnt on a funeral pyre by Jon.

37. Pyp and Grenn: Jon?s friends in the Night?s Watch were killed in the attack on Castle Black.

38. Shae: Strangled by Tyrion after he discovered her in Tywin?s chambers.

39. Tywin Lannister: Shot on the privy with Joffrey?s crossbow by Tyrion after he repeatedly called Shae a whore and disowned him as a son.

40. Jojen Reed: Stabbed by wights and burnt to prevent his reanimation.

It's episode 2 of the new season and already I'm seeing some fairly major diversions from the book-based storyline. Plus a few minor ones. Now I'm even more interested than I was, to see where they go with the new plotlines.

No one can really spoil that at this point because even in the books that storyline hasn't progressed far enough yet. But there are clues, many of them not so subtle. I believe she is slowly going to become a "faceless man", but also possess uber sword and weapons skills. She's going to have to walk through fire (possibly literally) to get there, but I strongly suspect that anyone who is still alive that is on her 'list' is going to regret whatever they did to cross her.

I also believe several names will be added to that list in future. Once she makes her return to Westeros she will no doubt discover some things went on against her family members that she doesn't approve of. And we've all already seen a faceless man in action. (that guy in Harenhall who gave her "three names--three deaths").

Yes, total badass.

I could be wrong of course, but at this point I don't think I am.

Edit: I forgot to say, it's also possible that while she's becoming this "badass" her need for revenge will be trained out of her. In that event I still believe certain heads will roll so to speak, by her hand, just not in the way we might expect.

It's a pretty big diversion from what actually happens in the books. But it's also amazing that she managed to avoid it for so long in the story.

This however falls pretty much precisely in line with the books.

Although she deserves a whole lot worse. No punishment is too great for this C with an 'unt', in my awesomely awesome opinion. :D

What exactly is it you're looking for?

This story is packed with more twists and turns and intertwining suspense and layer upon layer of intrigue than just about any other that's come before it. But you actually have to listen to what they're saying to begin to pick up on even a tenth of it.

Jon Snow's Sword is made of Valyrian Steel... just like Ned Stark's sword, Ice, was that he used for the beheading's -- before Tywin melted it down and gave a sword to Joff and one to Jame (that he then gave to Brienne). Interesting to find out that it doesn't shatter against White Walker weapons.

I am so happy with last night's episode. We finally got Tyrion and Daenerys, plus Arya gets a job :)

Did we just break the pattern of episode 9 of the series being the epic battle? Or will Jon and the wildlings have to take back The Wall from a usurper?

These are such huge diversions from the books that I honestly have no idea what's going to happen next. Which is in a way a good thing.

For example, in the books this Hard Home thing was more or less just referred to here or there. Jon sends word to Eastwatch to dispatch the King's fleet to aid/pick them up and take the wildlings there to safety. He himself does not go there.

In another part (book 5 I think) there is also mention made that some pirates had gone to Hard Home, picked up some wildlings with the promise of helping them, only to enslave the lot of them once they were at sea.

As for Tyrion, the differences in that storyline are uncountable at this point, but again the result is basically the same... he reaches his destination (Daenarys), it's just that in the books it took a lot longer and a lot more happens to him along the way, with a lot more characters, one of which is.... wait for it... another TARGARYEN. The series seems to have cut that out entirely.

I'm excited to hear that. I'm about a quarter through Book 3 and I am enjoying it. I do like the depth of background in the books that's left out (so far) from the shows. I like that there's still something for book readers that's surprising. I know from friends who've read them that some of the White Walker stuff is brand new, too.

That's disappointing. I like the way Jon goes himself to speak to the Wildlings. I enjoyed the scene in the tent with the elders. It seems in character with the Jon Snow of the show that he'd go himself - even if it's because he was forced to. And it sets up a great encounter back at The Wall with those who think this is a shit idea.

?The Dance of Dragons? is coming next week!

ianmoone332000 06-01-2015 10:29 AM

Il be keen on seeing how many viewers they have lost this season as the standard has dropped. Really a load of piss just now. Slow, dull and feels like im watching a show that has 10 different stories. Jon snow on the wall, aya training, the imp, the dragon queen etc. Too many different stories, they need to try bring the characters together

ianmoone332000 06-01-2015 04:09 PM

I wrote that before watching last nights episode which i just did. Episode was so much better, hope they keep going like that

I read the existing five books just over three years ago, and have been waiting for "The Winds of Winter" to come out ever since. But, in light of this season of the TV series coming out I decided to re-read all the books, as there is a LOT in there, a lot to digest, a lot of history and family names and geography to learn. In my initial read-through I was so revved up by this story and by the quality of Martin's writing that I tore through the five books in a matter of weeks.

Not this time.

On this second read-through I'm now picking up on all the great stuff, the details, hints, clues, etc, that I mostly missed or didn't really pick up on the first time. I'm halfway through book five right now, and at this point I have to say I'd recommend to everyone to do what I did, that being read the books, then wait a while and read them all again. Those who are saying the series is "boring" etc would understand the plot and all the intrigue so much more if they did so.

Oh, I doubt you'll be disappointed by the book storyline. Jon still does a fair bit of dealing with the wildlings, but Martin keeps this so-called Whitewalker army a bit more mysterious and unseen. You get a good taste of it during the Fist of the First Men battle (as is also in the TV series), but in the books he's really making you wait as the story builds towards.... something. Whereas in the HBO series, well, as we all saw Hardhome. It was well-done, but a huge diversion from the books.

Then you're in for at least a small treat. All I'll tell you is pay close attention to the Tyrion storyline. He'll lead you to all things Targaryen.

bronco67 06-02-2015 07:54 AM

I think this show is not good for some of you ADD sufferers.

Every season is a slow burn and all the good stuff goes down in the last few episodes. The best things are happening when the characters are interacting, if you actually pay attention instead of waiting for the next action scene.
