Facebook can be really a waste of time sometimes ... but if you understand a few things and outsmart it you can make decent money there . But its not a platform I would use for the long term projects.

I've mentioned I worked for iCracked, I'm more in it for the learning experience. All but the top 1-3 techs make enough to call it full time and make a decent living. I market hard and I still have to haggle with people.

I'm one of their bread and butter workers, I almost never complain and never get customer complaints, have high conversions; aka silent money maker. I bank somewhat on the warranty repairs. For this job I title it as pleasant interruptions, why? Because I get to meet and fix all kinds of different peoples' mobile devices.

I've met some top athletes, beauty pageant contestants, and some other interesting people and I make them talk about themselves and blow smoke up their ass while I fix their mobile device. You meet all kinds of people doing this job :) Makes it a lot of fun. Good learning experience. This job gets me out of the house and is social.

Just FYI if you put in a request for a Samsung device and don't get a call it's because a tech knows he probably won't convert you. Samsung screens cost $115 to $155 and people flip on me about this. People sign contracts and get devices for $200 but the actual device is $800-1200.
I get $10-40 credit for cracked screens that still work but have cracked glass. I've got about $4500 in Apple screens in stock right now. Samsung has more models and the carriers have different screens, more colors, and I always have backups if there is ever an issue with a defective screen. Thus making Samsung very hard and expensive to deal with.

70% of repairs are completed by 30% of the techs, I'd venture to say that the top 10% complete close to 50% of the repairs. iCracked has the entire world to hire from but after sifting they only hire 1-2% of applicants.

Yeah looking back that was the golden decade for me.

I have seen many people starting on the internet at the same time as me. They were in there early twenties while I was in my early thirties.
They climbed to the top of the internet much faster as they were able to comprehend the internet much faster.
Often money was blown on drugs and women and such. Easy come easy go.
Nowadays many of them are doing 9-5 dayjobs earning money a month that they used to earn in a day.

Around 30 you probably understand the value of money better and you understand that you have to built your own future.

I made a lot of money in different times. Very different times. I had to worry only about my brick and mortar competition down the street. There were multiple layers, i.e. markups from manufacturer to customer with everyone making decent margins. Your advertising was simpler and more focused. Your retail property alone soared in value. Made a lot when I sold out to a major retailer.

The search engine I had in conjunction with goto was a ppc money printing machine. That stopped overnight when goto changed. I mean overnight, $1X,XXX a day to zero. The two young guys who were my partners have never recovered. Their lifestyles drained them quickly.

Don't know if I could do it today. The business climate then had more to do with my success than my actual abilities. The amount of money I went thru was disgusting in retrospect.

The best advise I can give you is work hard like you can only do when you are your age. Do not spend frivolously. Live modestly but very well. Pay cash for used vehicles, have a nice comfortable home you own. Save and take pride in what you have that others don't know about.

If you own your own home and vehicles even a job flipping burgers will pay for utilities and property tax should shit hit the fan career wise.

Be below the radar with women. Don't accidentally have children you haven't planned for. And not to be a dick but realize you aren't special, the woman you fall in love with isn't special and your "love" isn't special. The odds you will split are very high. Don't lose half your shit. In fact unless she has more to lose than you don't get married without a pre-nip.

And yes, the old adage "If I had know I was going to live so long I would have taken better care of myself" is true.:)
