i dont know why people think teens are health conscious. they are the fattest young people ever bred on earth. its so bad, the NFL drafted just 7 quarterbacks in the draft last week. thats the lowest QB draft in over 60 years! Todays teens play video games & smoke kind buds.

to the extent they choose chipotle over mcDs, its soley a fashion statement. McDonalds has been living on being trendy & in fashion & all that shit. their fucking ads, with the multiracial young thin people eating burgers, what horseshit. their pandering to cool is disgusting.

Well things that are trendy, go stale. Right now mcDonalds is stale like sears. they will rebound when they remember how they drew in customers in the first place.

I'm gonna guess that McDonald's is gonna take a big hit if idiots flipping burgers actually start getting $15 an hour in the U.S.
I know that a lot of bleeding hearts think it's only "fair".
But in my opinion LIFE is not "fair". If you are a dumb fuck with no marketable skills, and you find yourself in a unskilled labor job...you shouldn't be getting paid more than you are worth.

I think McDonalds and the rest of the fast food industry will soon respond to this through automation.
Then the people whining about making minimum wage doing a monkey job will have NO job.

I totally forgot about the min wage increases. Thats going to be a major factor in their future as well for sure.

Speaking of automation, i was on my way home about a year ago and stopped into a Jack in the Box to grab a sandwich and they referred me to the kiosk to order. It was a ridiculous mess. What you want, you can say in a sentence or two and it takes a matter of seconds to do that... but the kiosk forces you through a maze of endless questions and options and choices because you can't just say "I want a number 6, sandwich only and a medium drink".... and there is instant understanding. It was a mess. I went in there 6 months later to see if it was still there and it wasn't. Obviously it could likely be done much better but it really made me think hard about the difference between human interaction and trying to do it yourself. Think about the simple questions and steps you have to answer running a card at a supermarket checkout... there is maybe 4-6 steps. Ordering food with specific wants or selecting options turned it into something like a 30 step process.

I've already seen the future for that.

Apps. Was at a fast food joint the other day and a big sign said to download their app and place your order when you first pull up. Then you just grab it and go.

So you would put in your order in the drive thru lane with your smart phone instead of talking to a speaker. Pretty slick.

Yeah, I would hope they would really streamline everything to make that more easy. I was stunned at how clumsy Jack in the Box's effort was. I would imagine it would require a major menu change, a lot of menu simplification and streamlining to make it quick and easy

yes! :2 cents: they are a family brand. they need low fat subs :2 cents: after the pink slime shit i refuse to eat there.
