Just did a Google on long distance sculling, didn't find anything at all about getting fat to make it. None of the trans Atlantic crossings were done by rowers who started the journey over weight.
|
Yeah I guess she's just some stupid fat bitch that doesn't know WTF she's doing Previous Expeditions |

i'll say she has a ton of experience and has more of an idea then i know about rowing, but "fattening" up with cheeseburgers to do it? i don't see that |

Thats impressive. I wonder what is all on that boat. She looks pretty thick for being so active.
I wonder how much weight she will lose |

ftr, i'd recognize her for accomplishing the crossing, i just happen to think at this point, anyone- male or female, looking as ill-prepared as she looks to me, will probably die trying. check out the crowhurst doc, it's on youtube, you'll enjoy it, i find several similarities here. not wishing ill will on her at all, but all alone out in the middle of the pacific in a rowboat with the closest humans being on the fucking space station in space is a very difficult place to be. i wish her luck, she's going to need a lot of it just to survive, let alone accomplish her journey. |

What's her current status BrassMo? Where she at now? |
she's already going in circles. maybe it's a function of what happens to the boat when she sleeps. it wasn't explained.

update:
the boat gave out a distress signal and was rescued after 250miles from the jap coast, the coast guard took pity on the boat because it was being ridden by a fat fat teletubbie and the coast guard threw snikers in the water and the teletubbie went after them, the boat is recovering fine now :1orglaugh US woman attempting to row across Pacific rescued - Yahoo News |
I love how all the people who sit all day long behind a computer that has never done a single thing like this can talk shit. She is awesome. I hope she does it and think she will. She has to be fatter then normal for this. There is a difference between being over weight, fat, gross fat and out of shape over weight, out of shape gross fat. BIG BIG difference. *shrugs*

As predicted she has already been rescued. She managed to go 155 miles in one week on a 6000 mile journey . |

After doing some basic math she probably figured that at the rate she was rowing she needed to be a pretty good fisherman or she would starve. |
Dumb cunt. She should have to pay the cost of rescue.edit:looks like Japan got stuck with the job

Why not try a great lake first? Nobody is impressed with a full speed charge into stupidity anymore. |

AT least she gave it a try at least she got up from the couch or computer and did what she wanted to do, at least she tried it wait said that one already. um yea that it's TOM *HIDES HIS HEAD IN SHAME* |

"...battling headwinds and typhoons, Sonya made the decision to abandon this year's attempt..."
"On top of the data, Sonya and some team members felt that things weren't going right. While we couldn't put our finger on it, something felt wrong. Our expedition experience has taught us that when that feeling doesn't go away, you pay attention. As we prepared to leave normal Coast Guard range, that feeling only got stronger. As a team, we felt that combined with incoming weather, loosing (sic) a piece of critical equipment with a single backup, it would be irresponsible to continue. Perhaps more importantly, none of us could justify putting responder's lives at risk by pushing further." Hmmm why would anyone row across the Pacific during typhoon season? So she abandons the journey just before she gets out of normal CG range? I think the only ride here, was the ride she gave her sponsors. |
Who didn't see this coming? Back to the buffet table she goes. :thumbsup
|
she just needed an excuse to get fat...she stashed hella food on the boat, ate it all and then called rescue :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

i had set my over/under at 150 nautical miles but quickly edited my post to 1500. i thought she was, at the very least, somewhat prepared- but it appears she truly was on a course to oblivion. she's very lucky she had the option to turn around.
