I get a flu shot every year. I believe in modern medicine. It's your choice about a flu shot, but why stop there? Don't get any vaccinations like for mumps, chicken pox or polio. Be part of the group of shit heels too stupid to walk upright and get your DNA killed off as soon as possible.. Dumb fucks.

Very the past 10 years we have kept track of this at NETbilling. We have 48 employees.
We advocate and even pay for our employees to get flu shots if they want them and their insurance won't cover the cost.
Out of the 30 or so employees that have gotten the flu during that time (obviously we have turnover and not everyone gets one each year, only one had a flu shot. None of the others got the flu that did get the shot.

Seems to me that the flu shots are usually very effective, can help prevent you from getting extremely ill, take only minutes to administer, and are covered by insurance.

That's the problem - Most people don't realise how bad real flu is - It's not a couple of days slobbing out on the sofa - It's weeks in bed at best...

I have personally nursed many extremely sick people with flu that are otherwise healthy - I KNOW what it is like - I have seen what it can do - I did'nt Google a few pages and call it 'research'.....

I live in Miami, an international city. People come here from all over the world all of the time. Every time I pump gas, get on an elevator, push a shopping cart, use a pen at the bank, handle money, touch a door handle, stand in a crowd, breathe someone else air, expose myself in any fashion outside of my house and this does not include the germs my son brings home from school or my wife's exposure, I'm picking up some goddamn exotic germs. I got a flu shot yesterday, no drama, no nothing. Odds are good that somewhere I'm going to be exposed to the flu virus or an epidemic might break out quickly. It's a win if I don't get it from chance or because I used available protection. Why wouldn't I take advantage of modern medicine? If you've never gotten the flu that's fine, the day you get it, it will kick your ass up and down the street. And there is no cure or treatment. In effect, you're using the "good luck" treatment for the flu. I might use that for the lottery, but not my health.

I think people should get 4 or 5 flu shots this year. If one is good then 5 must be great! And since it is completely safe the extra shots cannot hurt you.

Never had a flu shot. Have had the flu once in the last 15 years. My parents get their shot every year. Twice they have had their shots and got the flu that same year.

If you're in the risk group then you should probably just get the shot, otherwise no need unless you want to be safe... A flu jab isn't going to kill you, I've heard people say they got a little ill after getting one (never happened to me) tho. I sometimes get one I sometimes don't, honestly depends if I remember to make an appointment lol.

I've never had flu shot, neither has my son. One of my nephews started to have serious health problems after flu shot last year.
My father-in-law (MD) says it is useless cause the virus evolves (or mutates) each year and the shot might not be effective against this year's version ))
