I think at a certain age you realize there's more to life and that now it's time to enjoy the fruits of your labor. They can afford to buy a nice bike and enjoy the freedom of riding!

Obvious you have never ridden a motorcycle. Riding position and comfort vary drastically between a Harly and a European touring bike. I personally couldn't go 10 miles in the forward riding style of most European bikes.

Yep; it all goes back to horse riding styles of Europe/Asia vs the US.

I sold one of those a couple years ago, 75 VW pick up that got 45 to 50 mph. Cool little truck, just didn't need it.

I was referring more to the false advertising and computer trickery they resorted to that back up their false mpg claims.

German engineering being better than is a myth.

My dad swears by Mercedes, I would rather have a F150 4x4 than that.
