I actually have seen 1 dude in fear of the terrorist. It was on the boardwalk at Venice Beach and he was loudly talking to himself about terrorists in black helicopters while he paced back and forth

Sooooooo regular people who turned to islam and started to blow shit up?
You are not helping

I read an article yesterday that said you are a thousand times more likely to be shot by accident by a toddler than you are to be killed in a terrorist attack.

Gun owners don't get worried. So long as the NRA own your politicians, nothing will change.

Hawaii, New Hampshire, North Dakota, West Virginia and Wyoming alone were spared such macabre fate.

Some where along the line we have lowered the bar of news reporting while making it oh so much easier to find information. Clearly someone didn't fact check anything...

When did the "mass shooting" take place in Georgia? Or Alabama? Or South Carolina?
Are they counting "mass shootings" that may have taken place in the 1800's? WTF?

Just re-read the article... I didn't see this was only "this month" since December 2nd, 2015. So... Opps.

But this brings up a valid point that kills me... Trump and all of the Republicans are making such a big deal about Muslims entering the country, yet hundreds of people have died from mass shootings in the past two weeks. Clearly arming the population hasn't changed a thing - Millions of firearms floating around in the public and yet still hundreds of people get shot and killed every month.

Got it. :)

By the way...what's the criteria for a "mass shooting"? More than 2 people?
Some of those "mass shootings" don't seem very "mass".

I'm not trying to be flippant about it. But when I think of "mass shooting", I'm thinking that at least 7 or 8 people were shot.
Looks like that site has put the number at "4" to be proclaimed as a "mass shooting".

Is that pretty much the agreed on number? And if so, should it be called a "mass shooting"?

I love how people will spend countless hours defending the 2nd amendment in post after post, then turn around and take a giant piss on the first.

Apparently to conservatives the Constitution is similar to the Bible. Just pick and choose the parts that fit your views.

it's weird that markham thinks Americans need a guns fatality powerpoint presentation.

it's weird because i go through life 24/7/365 in the USA without 1 single fuck given about getting killed by a gun, regardless of a map. and so does every American I know.

Always seem to be taking place in more "liberal" states.

I guess you didn't hear about Dylann Roof shooting up a church (South Carolina) or that Muslim that shot up a military recruiting center (Tennessee).

Just Ayub Ommaya's scientific breakthrough saves more lives on annual basis than all the terrorist casualties in EU/USA combined.

By that logic, we should ban all guns until they come up with a better solution.

A ban is another chip away from your own freedom.
