Not bad at all, quite enjoyed it. 3D is awesome and we could have had more, such as from the pilots POV in the dogfight scenes, as were some of the backdrops created. Ford out acted the lot of them, that's to be expected. A couple of actors showed their inexperience.

It also has the same tongue in cheek angle.

The only complaint is the writing needs to have been better in getting it away from the set format of Death Star, Evil Ruler, Darth Vader, children who are related to main characters and re-inventing Luke as a girl. Her character and his are too similar. Though to be honest there are 100s of movies that seem to be written by a photocopier.

Well, worth the money, even some of those here to broke to go to the movies.

Watching the other trailers, DC Comics, Marvel and Warcraft spin-offs. This is far better. another case of photocopier instead of a team of writers.

As a Star Wars fan i must say i am very disapointed. They really fucked up this great
story this time. From no name actors to missing characters that were present in all previous movies.

These new addons to the franchise ( "actors" ) are the worst choice ever.

Except the special effects and some scenes that were alright..i never thought i could be so bored and waiting for this fucking movie to end. or at least something interesting to happen.

-No Yoda, No Jar Jar Binks, No Padmé, R2-D2 ( only couple of minutes ),C-3PO ( couple of minutes)

Enjoyed it and now considering going back in a few days to watch it in 3D...

was completely terrible! i mean what did it have to do with star wars? sure those 3 chipmunks could sing pretty well and it was a cute little story but seriously?? where are the jedi and space ships!!??

I disagree that the problem is too few minutes of old characters such as han solo or old droids. The good guys in the movie are ok, including the new young ones. But the bad guys are really dumb, not only the young wannabe-darthvader, but also the older wannabe-palpatine-emperor, both of which seems to have no any clue whatsoever along the whole movie. All the bad guys there are complete idiots, despite provided with ridiculously big ships and resources, from the soldier to the general to the shady supernatural leaders they are all so funny looking, and imediately fooled and beated by whatever small amount of rebel kids, you can not really fear they can ever do anything bad or even be able to plan what they want to do in their life. If only we had convincing bad guys, this movie would have been ok.

I like the new lightsabers.
