Right ?

I'm sure e-cigs are dangerous too, but it's just hard to get as dangerous as vaccines, being bitten by ticks is safer :2 cents:

ack, thats auto correct. anyways if people can quit cigs and use the vape then they can totally quit easily enough i think. at that point its mostly mental.

Why? Because one idiot out of millions puts the wrong battery in an ecig and it blows up?

Should everyone quit showering because an old lady slipped in the shower and hit her head?

no because smoking is pointless and doesn't really do anything for anyone. it doesn't get you high, i just don't see the point if you want to stop risking your life with cigarettes why vape instead inhaling unknown unregulated chemicals? why not just stop completely? is the vaping really doing anything that great that you need to keep doing it? if you have the willpower to stop smoking, you can stop vaping too. i'd sooner smoke crack than smoke cigarettes and it seems 70-8-% of the people vaping have no idea what might even be in it or care, they just think its healthier because thats what they're told.

I quit vaping about a month ago today actually and it was exponentially harder than quitting analogs. Ease of use and more frequency due to ease of use increased the addiction. My withdrawals lasted 2 weeks instead of 3-4 days.

well fuck, *now* I know smoking is pointless and not very good for you.

And who in their right mind buys unknown unregulated ecig juice?

and newsflash 70-80% of the people up in arms about vaping have no idea what might even be in it or care, they just think its deadlier because thats what they're told by headlines such as the one in the OP. Show me something that says vaping is worse for me than my smokes, and none of this 'may' 'trace amounts' bollocks, and I'll switch back to smokes full time. Until then I'll be using my ecig substitute.

Non/ex-smokers crack me the fuck up... aside from the TINY percentage who were able to give up fairly easily (or even with difficulty), are people that fucking stupid/forgetful that they are oblivious to the physical/mental addiction? No smoker smokes because they are unaware of the fucking health dangers, christ alfuckingmighty :helpme :error :1orglaugh

One blew up the other day.

Well the EU have just regulated ecigs / juice thats sold in the UK. With an estimated 2.6 million vapers in Britain, its a nice amount to put a x next to vote leave. There seriously pissed

Seems like a battery problem with overcharging then leaking.

Not.

Looks like a cheaply-made mod. Didn't the news people think to ask the make/model of the vape? Every story I hear about these things blowing up always seem extremely short on details and seem to be reported for the sensationalism.

Not to say this doesn't/can't happen - but after awhile the trend seems to take on an agenda.

Yeah, the ones that have blown up are cheap and unsafe because they don't have a protruding positive pin for the battery, which causes shorts and sparks. And that blows up if you have a leaking battery...

I know. So why are people freaking out about the regulations? That means $2mil will be spent for each product to be able to be sold legally, which will cut out a lot of those cheap vapes..
The cheap vapes sold at gas stations with no info on battery safety except a little piece of paper that barely anyone reads is a problem, too. Especially the ones that don't come with its own charger, not all micro USBs charge at the same rate and people use phone chargers that fit but aren't standard.

Britain's higher safety laws with cheap knock offs & the regulations should be higher standard, especially when it's an item purchased that you shove in your face & breath vapour from it :thumbsup

Jel 05-21-2016 01:03 PM

I charge my petrol station bought £1.99 ecig overnight under the pillow using a japanese charger I bought for 30p (with free 50ml e-juice) on ebay :thumbsup

ErectMedia 05-21-2016 01:20 PM

I've bought a handful of different e-cigs/vapes. I smoke a real cig and I'm good. Smoke any of the e-cigs/vapes and it's more like a pacifier and never really hits the spot. Not sure if nicotine isn't really nicotine or the same level or if ya need the burning effect to hit the spot but have never tried any that worked. May taste the same but if ya gotta suck on da thing 24/7 what's da point. :2 cents:

I was in a restaurant a few years ago when vaping was just starting to take hold. The fucking idiot was creating a ton of smoke, or, vapour, whatever. It wasn't illegal, and he knew it. When the next table asked him to stop he made a big huge stink about it. "My rights" this, and "Vaping is clean" that, and "Mind your own fucking business" too, all to an elderly couple I might add. What a fucking obnoxious prick. And Oh yeah, and he was doing his fare share of coughing too.

Cigs never used to bother me in clubs but I'm glad they're illegal just about everywhere. They are about to outlaw smoking on terraces here in Montreal too which I think is a bit much though.
