I think at this point, voting for any of the political machines of the candidates that are nothing more than the same ole thing, just another politician is edging in on insanity. Tea party led to war - but it was also represented as as peaceful protest. Moreover, the protest was chiefly orchestrated by tea smugglers that were losing money on smuggled Dutch tea because the Tea Act had actually reduced prices on British tea imports. There were successful returns of tea that did not lead to war but those of course aren't as historically significant because peaceful protest is never as interesting as a bunch of white guys dressed as Mohawk Indians throwing tea into the ocean.

Trump came second in Iowa by 3 points margin. I do not remember him having first lead in polls (if we assume "admitting in public" = polls) or anything like that.

Is there any politician who doesn't say he's going to 'bring back jobs'? Trump was born to a billionaire, yet he's had to file bankruptcy four times. What in his history makes you think he's the best choice to rebuild the economic and physical infrastructure of this nation?

The problem is that intelligent people try to tell you what's wrong with the nation and what needs to be done to fix it, complete with facts, figures and historical precedent, but then you vote for the guy who promises to kick the most foreign asses, build the highest wall or most ruthlessly torture 'terrorists'.

Everything I read states that while deductibles went up, the majority of insured qualify for discounts that offset that, so more people are insured which is saving taxpayers overall. It isn't perfect but it isn't so bad either and conservatives are taking advantage of it just like liberals.

Trump takes advantage of trade imbalances to profit and takes advantage of bankruptcy to profit as well. So you say "well he is a businessman, of course he would do that" but how you get from that to thinking he is someone that wants what is best for Americans is beyond me.
