Even ad buying won't work. If I MG had a guy buying ads and making $10,000 a month. They would find where he advertises and outbid him. He's done all the hard work in finding good places, and making less than half what MG would make by copying him.

Here's what I've discovered since I created this thread in mid-April:

1. People are still buying porn

2. Cams have huge potential. If you're not promoting them you are missing out.

3. Leveraging social media to generate sales takes time but eventually starts paying off once the economies of scale starts kicking in. It's nice not to rely on google 100% for your traffic.

4. Just like when I started in 1997 and went full-time in 2002 ---it takes time to build up your income. It's not going to go up in a straight line. The key is you see fruits from your labour/projects. I can happily say I have seen encouraging results since I created this thread even though I took July/August off.

5. 20% of what you work on generates 80% of your sales. figure out the 20% and keep doing it.

6. I'm getting back to consistently working now that we are going into Fall but I am stopping to smell the roses this time unlike from 1997-2002 when I use to put in 50hrs a week like clockwork.
- booking a week vacation at a tropical resort travelling between Sept 19th - 30th
- spending quality time with my kids -- the age they are at is priceless!
- been eating well and lifting weights religiously since July ( I'm in week 8 of the 5x5 StrongLifts: Simple, Effective Strength and Muscle Building program. awesome -- I've lost 10lbs of fat since July (5'10 / 188lbs now -- google "intermittent fasting")

7. I am convinced more than ever I will get back to $10,000/month. Patience and determination is a virtue.:thumbsup

I am up to $3000/month now which is 20% increase (from $2500) since I started this thread 10.5 months ago.

I am encouraged by my results especially since I took off a lot of time in those 10.5 months (a month in the summer; trips to Cuba, Key West, Belize, spending lots of time with my kids) and I just got back into working regularly about a month ago.

Fortunately the divorce proceedings are advancing and I actually have my 2 kids full time right now. The marital home has finally been sold (i had to stop making payments on it to induce her to agree to sell!) and there is $630,000+ being held in trust in a bank account that I should get the bulk of.

I own a shitload of adult sites/assets that I have literally neglected for years. I took my eye off the ball that's for sure. I have gone in and systematically started fixing all my sites and I am seeing great results.

I use to create new blog posts every day and my blogs have been sitting for years without an update. I just started to create blog posts again. It's like breathing new life into the blogs as I see google suddenly start sending more search traffic and sales coming in. Google really loves blogs with fresh unique content and regularly updated.:thumbsup

Just yesterday I had a great Skype conversation with Mohawk Steve from Chaturbate and i got the greenlight on a unique site idea to promote Chaturbate. I will post it to GFY when it's ready. :winkwink: I referred a few regular chaturbate buyers so I am now averaging $100/month commission with Chaturbate and I honestly only worked on it for a couple months a while ago. Cam promotions definitely are worth it.:)


I gotta mention I'm planning to get back involved in mainstream projects as well at some point. My buddy that knows squat about programming or how to build a site from the ground up is making $500/month with booking.com and all he does is just post to his wordpress blog and tweet. That's the extent of his promotional abilities. It just reminds me emphatically that adult is just a drop in the bucket of the $$$ available to be made online. mainstream is huge.

I've teamed up with him on a mainstream travel site project where I code the site/database and he populates the database with content. I would like to have a mainstream income to pass on to my kids and teach them how to code/promote online when they reach the right age. I don't want my kids sitting in a cubicle or tied to a j.o.b. for that matter.

I am fully confident more than ever that I will get back to $10,000/month....

...It's just that I have realized spending time with my 2 kids at the age they are at right now (7 & 8) is priceless and worth my sacrificing time working online... the internet will still be here when they become teenagers and suddenly dad isnt so cool anymore :1orglaugh

Yes the majority of my income is from traditional paysite sales. People are still buying pornsite memberships :thumbsup

As far as my adult business, I do think cam sales is the more secure business to bank my future income on. After starting to surf chaturbate cam rooms myself I discovered there is a human connection camgirls make with their fans that offers great income potential.:)

I built a few sites for chaturbate in May/June last year and did some twitter promotions for the sites. I was averaging a good amount of daily free registrations. Since I stopped promoting regulary on twitter my daily free registrations have died down.

The people I am making money on now signed up with Chaturbate last summer and are still spending regularly 10 months later. So I think twitter promotion works for cams if you do it regularly and you have a bunch of twitter accounts/followers that provide the economies of scale. :2 cents:
