This could be the genesis of a new domestic terror cell. These Dallas and Baton Rouge shooters may be lone actors, but they have something in common...military training and anger toward white cops (or cops in general).

All it takes is for some like minded people to be inspired and form a cell.

You forgot to mention he was a Nation of Islam follower. That likely had more to do with it than his being a marine especially since Louis Farrakhan has been inciting violence against police for decades.
