I am not waiting on my pension check:helpme
I am making money every day.
I am convinced -- Markham is delusional :2 cents:

Like I have said over and over to no end: Follow your own advice Paul and show us the money you make ...

Barry-xlovecam 08-17-2016 06:31 AM

x% of paysites make money today.
The ones that were living off the easy money; what I call "lay down buyers" are gone.

Another know nothing observation from Paul Markham -- the Dinosaur Pornographer.

Good post.

The problem is the innovators have made their money and moved on. Excluding webcam, which only went to the tips/free model. There's nothing "innovating" about porn. It's sex and that won't change.

So all they can do is hang on and hope the checks don't bounce.

VR is open to innovation in porn, real VR not the fake 360 VR. Well what people have been tinkering with when it really hits the market :thumbsup

Porn is a cheap substitute for the real thing :2 cents:
That is market reality.
That is why the crap content quality on piracy file lockers and tube sites is so successful.
We are talking about masturbatory relief that may last 2 minutes to 25 minutes -- for most normal people.

We will have to see what this actual VR adoption rate is and in what industries. Even in mainstream full length features;
  • Could you sit through a full movie wearing a headset and being unaware of your surroundings?
  • Are there that many films that you would want to be immersed at that level in?

In the hands of a skilled cameraman with the right budget, it could be great. That could make it very profitable for those who can splash out the money. I've played with it at the local mall and can see how Games, Sports, TV and Movies could be awesome. Given a bit of time. I would definitely want to test some games in VR.

OR.

For porn, most have different budgets.

If it's simple to use, everyone will jump on the bandwagon, making it the new standard.

Should Tubes afford to give it away, the advances are negligible. This is porn's biggest problem. Surfers can get the best we have without paying for it. Which is tough when all we have ever sold is a 20-minute jerk off.

I asked Roald if his new series of movies were going to be on Pornhub, he didn't reply. Will they join all the other top brands? :(

Would you have to go to the movies to watch a film?

No. Same goes for 3D.

No, I have real reality in life TY and also my right eye was left partially numb from a stroke in 2007 -- so I am never going to be a likely candidate for any goggles.

I would wait until we are half way up the adoption (Bell) curve before I would invest any serious money too as a business venture.

For webcams it may have some viability if it is not a flash in the pan as I expect the outcome will be. I still remember the cumbersome 3D glasses and the adoption rate's failure.

Now real holograms of a camgirl -- now that would be interesting but that is far off for now.

VR is a longshot for now :2 cents:

When that happens, the market will explode.

my point is that people easily seem to dismiss VR by comparing it to 3D and in 99 of 100 cases those people have never tried VR - and you just did the same.

And your hologram of a camgirl is not that far off

[YOUTUBE...

Like I say (with VR): When the adoption rate is there. Right now it is a novelty.

I think realistic holograms is not going to happen that soon -- but I may be wrong -- again, the adoption curve will be critical.

AI virtual camgirls have a lot more potential ...
